1 Corinthians 12:4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each, for the benefit of all.

Every aspect of Christian Fellowship must be directed by the Lord, who is the Spirit.
Without the commitment of mature elders to wait on the Lord and learn to discern
the Father’s Will for the glory of His Son, we are left with “the blind leading the blind.”

2 Corinthians 3:14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains
unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ.
15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart.
16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
18 But we all, with unveiled faces, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being
transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

The manifestation of the Spirit is the revealing of Truth.

2 Corinthians 4:2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness
nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves
to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel
of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

All who claim to be born again must acknowledge that the work of the Holy Spirit is revealing the secrets of men’s hearts,
that they be made pure. This is to grow in grace, and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mark 4:22 For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light.
23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.
24 Then He said to them, Take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured
to you; and to you who hear, more will be given.

25 For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have,
even what he has will be taken away from him.

All knowledge gained in the traditional pursuits of education, while valuable, will only lead to vanity (coming from pride)
without the knowledge of the Voice of the Spirit. Everything we come in contact with in the world has been touched
by the idols of the world. The Voice gives the discernment of Truth.

John 3:21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.

1 Corinthians 8:1 Now concerning things offered to idols: We know that we all have knowledge.
Knowledge puffs up (pride), but love edifies (builds up) .
2 And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know.
3 But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him.

To walk in the Spirit is to heed the Voice of the Lord.
Beyond the written Law, there are personal precepts received from the Spirit,
as commands to be obeyed.

1 John 2:3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.
4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar,
and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him.
By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself
also to walk just as He walked.

Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every spoken word (
rhema) that proceeds from the mouth of God.

Benediction

Romans 16:25 Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and
the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret
since the world began
26 but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations,
according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith—
27 to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.

In addition to the above the most immediate manifestations of the indwelling Holy Spirit of God in a Pentecostal disciple are

speaking in tongues - the Bible evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit

miracles and healings along with laying hands on the sick

understanding the word of God - being enlightened

knowing that God is alive and enjoying the power of God in one's walk

Mark 16:15  And [Jesus] said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
Mar 16:16  Who hath believed and is baptized shall be saved; but who hath disbelieved shall be condemned.
Mar 16:17  And these signs shall follow them that have believed: in my name shall they cast out demons, speak with tongues;
Mar 16:18  and in their hands they shall take up serpents, and if they drink aught deadly, it shall in now wise hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Acts 2:4  And all were filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 10:45  And they of the circumcision that believed were amazed, who came with Peter, because that on the nations also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit.
46  For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

Acts 19:5  And when they heard this, they were baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.
19:6  And when Paul had laid hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

James 5:13  Is any among you suffering? let him pray. Is any cheerful? let him sing praise.
14  Is any among you sick? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, having anointed him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15  and the prayer of faith shall save the weary one, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, it shall be forgiven him.

The manifestations of the Holy Spirit in the Pentecostal ekklesia are best described as follows

1Cor 12:1  Now concerning the spirituals, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
2  Ye know that as nations ye were led away unto those dumb idols, howsoever ye might be led.
3  Wherefore I make known to you, that no one speaking by God’s Spirit saith, Jesus is anathema; and no one can say, Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.
4  Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5  And there are diversities of ministrations, and the same Lord.
6  And there are diversities of workings, but the same God, who worketh all the things in all.
7  But to each is given the manifestation of the Spirit to profit.
8  For to one is given through the Spirit a word of wisdom; and to another a word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit:
9  to another faith, in the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, in the one Spirit;
10  and to another workings of powers; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits: to another kinds of tongues; and to another interpretation of tongues;
11  but all these worketh the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each severally even as he willeth.

I have used some of these gifts as necessary over the years. Wonderful power.

Praise God glory to JESUS for the sweet holy Spirit. Luke 11:13. Have you received the holy Spirit since you believed "how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

1Cor 14:12  So with yourselves, since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, strive to excel in building up the church.
14:13  Therefore, one who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret.
14:14  For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays but my mind is unfruitful.
14:15  What am I to do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will pray with my mind also; I will sing praise with my spirit, but I will sing with my mind also.

I missed this post. That is a sweet verse!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
