One is for hunting and fishing, which has fizzled out and another very active one for motorcycle guys. Both are/were invite only. The bike forum has both believers and non-believers. Because it is not viewed by the public, folks can be more open. I use it as a means of sharing Christ as opportunity arises. You might be surprised at how a softened heart can exist in a rough exterior. I know who I am; I am the guy that originally declared my birthday to be February 31 just to see if the security system has a brain or not. I get the feeling it's dominated by a different demographic and age group from Worthy and a lot of the older Christian forums. It honestly gets to be a combination of depressing and horrifying sometimes. On one end a lot of the different subforums have embraced the so-called liberal/progressive "Christianity" and on the other you see a lot of the struggles of young people today. It feels like there's not a day that goes by there where someone doesn't talk about being in bondage to pornography, losing hope, or struggling with mental illness. One Christian Forum I visited had a rule that no-one was allowed to mention other forums. I guess they were concerned their members might drift away. I've not been on any other forums for a while but I did a stint on CARM (Christian Apologetics Research Ministries) which is owned by Matt Slick, who has some good material archived. There are some good sorts and some real hardline characters on CARM but from my perspective the vibe is not conducive to what I call WORTHWHILE FELLOWSHIP.
