(Sure was nice hearing the rain for a change! (Slept in one hour by mistake.) The mountains are about two hours from Los Angeles. Just checked, she or he is still covered with snow. @Neighbor I don't think it's a dead tree but I'm not sure. I do hope and pray they get a break in the weather and better conditions soon We are going to get another round of rain coming in Sunday night through Thursday. It's called an atmospheric river. We usually don't get much rain in the Los Angeles area. Also, sometimes the mountains and deserts get the rain when it bypasses us down in the L.A. Basin. And they changed places! Really amazing how they keep those eggs safe. Right now Jackie or Shadow, I can't tell which end is the head....just a body of feathers in the snow. https://www.friendsofbigbearvalley.org/

Yep, however the year I sold my first home there it had rained and rained and rained at this time of year. The very day the buyer of my home had taken occupancy it flooded the yard and the patio room. Never had anything like it before, - or since to my knowledge. I had forgotten about that one it was so long ago. I trekked through the snow at Mt. Baldy more than a few times, and Wrightwood, oh Wrightwood in the winter, hard getting around that little village on the Northside slope, it would all ice over so. Gee been a long long time; memories from long ago!

It is a live tree and it is swaying some in the wind. The eagle just sprung into action, moving the three eggs a bit, rotating one of them, and resetting itself back down, tucking it's own head into it's back after shaking the snow off itself.

Watched the Ca. sunrise the changing of the guard with the one swooping in to that branch in the center background. Find myself praying and cheering for them. Just think they don't know a thing about the Biden Crime family nor Eagle pass. They just do as God has told us - be fruitful. 1

The next storm due in Sunday night will be much stronger than the one a few days ago. While I absolutely love hearing the rain, I hope the Eagles and people will be safe. Since this is an Eagle thread, I mentioned them first! There was a lot of flooding on our streets. Water went up to nearly the roofs of the cars in some areas. People had to be rescued from cars.
