Ephesians 1:23, NASB: which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

We really have such a small view of who we really are in Christ - Lord, open our eyes!!!

Hi VA,

Good to again focus on the topic.

`God the Father....gave Him as Head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.` (Eph. 1: 22 & 23)

`till we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.` (Eph. 4: 13)

I believe that to be the very divine nature of Christ as 2 Peter 1: 4 speaks of. The well known international Bible teacher from last century, C.J. Rolls likens Christ life to `bread.`

Bread is bought to nourish those who are alive; but Christ, the Bread of God imparts life eternal. The physical bread we eat is from wheat or other grains, grown in the ground from whence our bodies are derived. The calcium, silicon, iodine, iron, phosphates etc in an organic form are packed into the wheat in order to build up our strength.

In like manner, if we are to become partakers of spiritual life and immortality we must eat the Bread of God, which is made up of righteousness, goodness, lovingkindness, graciousness, perfectness, holiness and such like which result in Christ likeness.

To believe Christ and receive Him is to appropriate and partake of the Bread of God , (Christ`s character)  which came down from Heaven. In doing so the result is life everlasting, because these divine virtues are imperishable. Therefore the gift (reward) of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

You are very quick...I am on an I'phone...and cannot catch up with you and I need to bring something to your attention...

I used those words because I do not want you to think that I have Judge something you posted before we discuss  it...

Hi farouk,

I am on my computer and can now type quickly. And yes a phone is quite slow.  I never think you judge me, for I know you will address something in the right manner for the benefit of the hearers.

Ah, but we have veered from our brother's topic.

Have I already responded to your OP, @Vine Abider? I confess that I can't remember if I forgot to remember to do that since we share the same conviction regarding your question,

"Is the Church Christ?"

To which I say, "Yes, we are."

I'm on my phone at the moment, so no copying or pasting verses of scripture. That's excellent, because I would rather express scriptural truth relying upon my own words, which the reader can verify for themselves. It's simple to find.

We are living stones in the temple raised without human hands, for God does not dwell in structures built by man. Just as God raised the Son of Man from the dead on the third day, so the Son of God has raised us up from the dead. We were dead in our trespasses but now, having been crucified with Christ and buried with Him in death, we have been raised in newness of life in His Holy Spirit, who conforms us to the image of the Son from glory to glory. We are fashioned in His image by the power of God!

We are the temple of the Holy Spirit both individually and collectively, created in Christ for good works ordained by God for us to walk in. It was good that the Lord departed to sit with our Father upon His throne, for this is the fulfillment of the promise spoken by the prophets:

God with us, who is Immanuel. By ascending, the Lord has secured our place seated with Him in the heavenly places; God pours His Spirit upon us without measure. Walking in the Spirit of the Lord, joined together as living stones in His House without end, seated with Jesus Christ in the heavenly places, we are His Body and so we are, indeed, Christ.

I hope that answers the question,  my friend. References to scripture should be evident. :)

Hi it's me YCF ...

This is it what is all about, in revelation 21: we read:

Come and I will show you the bride and then it talks about the Heavenly Jerusalem...

Revelation 21:9-14

Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. 11 It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. 13 There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west. 14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

Hi VA,

Such an important point, `the fullness of Him,` which I believe the Holy Spirit would have us look and meditate on. Too often we want to focus on US. But as @farouk has said, `turn you eyes upon Jesus...`

His fullness is His divine character and as C.J. Rolls says that is made up of 42 characteristics.

`righteousness, goodness, lovingkindness, graciousness, perfectness, holiness, faithfulness, meekness, humbleness, truthfulness, winsomeness, friendliness, godliness, loveliness, manliness, purity, steadfastness, trustworthy, undefiled,

and I will have to look for more.

To think that the Holy Spirit is making us like Him. Wonder of wonders.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
