When I was a child, my parents (my mom or/and dentist?) decided that I should have "tooth braces" (🇳🇴 "tannregulering"), because one (or two?) of the incisors up where a little bit crooked.

I remember that I hated the tooth braces, and if I had the opportunity to chose, I would rather have been without it! I don't exactly remember how long I had to wear it, but I think it was a couple of years or so (?).

Today I'm 🔜 56 years old, and one of the teeth which was in the tooth braces back then, has started to "live its own life", struggling to become as it was before the braces(?). 😂I can only laugh 😅 about it, and it don't mind me at all to have a few crooked teeth, as I'm not vain, and I love my crooked teeth as much as I love my graying hair. 😊

Do you have any experience with such "tooth braces", and what do you think about it all?

I encourage you to love yourself as you are, as you are made by the Creator! Because you are so VALUABLE! 🌹 🌼 🌹 🌼 🌹 🌼 🌹

Anxiety kills. Life itself is vanity, man is vanity, Plavious is vanity. I learned this the hard way. I am glad i finally accepted the truth. Permit me say this. I have been so worries about my security and food and accomodation and health and that have been traumatizing me. At one point, i lost hope of everything and i felt better. I was angry with God but till date and forever he remain God, the i am that i am and the prince of peace. Today i am still what God wanted and God still supreme. Vanity is vanity

I did the full retainers and braces as a kid. From 12 to 17 years old. Even had the atrocious headgear

It did correct my overbite and made space in my upper jaw but it was not a fun ordeal. My teeth have since crept out of place at bit along the bottom row.

Two of our kids so far have had a short stint with braces and now have permanent retainers.

Teeth and the structures supporting them are a complicated affair. Dentists work at correcting issues with children which can lead to serious problems later in life. Braces are not used to address matters of vanity. They serve a practical purpose.

For example, crowded teeth can lead to conditions which can result in tooth decay (it's virtually impossible to clean them properly)... decay leads to infections... infection leads to bone loss... and bone loss causes the loss of teeth. Oral infections have been causatively linked to heart disease and arterial plaque (arterial blockages).

I learned more about this subject than I ever wanted to know. As a child, I had "perfect" teeth. I developed problems which grew worse over the years and the source was an enduring mystery. No matter what I or dentists did, I kept showing up with a mouth full of abscessed teeth. A course of antibiotics would cause them to disappear, only for the abscesses to appear all over again. I lived with constant pain.

During my early 40's when I came close to death, I lost my teeth due to bone loss. Those that didn't fall out on their own had to be removed later by a dental surgeon. Believe me when I say that this was a wonderful blessing, for those abscesses I lived with for so long were exerting constant pressure on my sinuses, compounding my misery. It was atrocious.

Recently, the mystery behind it all was revealed: granulomatous disease, a genetic deficiency which robs the body's immune cells of the ability to destroy bacterial and fungal invaders. Issues which the immune system deals with easily in others were catastrophic for me. A CT scan of my torso done for a different purpose revealed what was happening inside of my body all those years ago: lymph nodes next to my heart are calcified... my lungs are extensively scarred... the remains of granulomas were observed inside of my lungs... and so the evidence led the reviewing radiologist to diagnose past granulomatous disease. The calcification of lymph nodes is a classic symptom of granulomatous disease.

What was going on in the mouth reflected what was happening inside of this body, my friends. My brain was also damaged by infections. So, oral health is far more important than anyone knew in years gone by.

Just so the reader will understand what the Lord did when He raised me up to live and not die, He reversed the course of those infections that were killing me. The Lord rejuvenated my brain, reversing the damage that was done. Jesus Christ raised me up and set me on these two feet again. :)

Thank you for sharing this, as I learned that some have "tooth braces" of necessity (?). I'm sorry to hear about all that you had to endure, but I am so grateful to Abba Father that you are healed now! 😊

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
