Abraham never received the promise made to him concerning the promised land.

He doesn't recieve the land of Canaan till after Christ has come and the beast in the promised land is destroyed.

And based upon that, we have no chance to reach any sort of agreement, and so will have to agree to disagree.

Based on Abraham never being given the land of Canaan?

Everyone knows including Abraham himself that he had not been given the land of Canaan for Abraham himself said that he was a stranger in that land and paid the rightful owners of that land for a place to bury Sarah. If Abraham had owned the land of Canaan then he would not have needed to buy a small cave there.

I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.

And the children of Heth answered Abraham, saying unto him,

Hear us, my lord: thou art a mighty prince among us: in the choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead; none of us shall withhold from thee his sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead.

And Abraham stood up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Heth.

And he communed with them, saying, If it be your mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight; hear me, and intreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,

That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he hath, which is in the end of his field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me for a possession of a buryingplace amongst you.

10 And Ephron dwelt among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the children of Heth, even of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying,

11 Nay, my lord, hear me: the field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee; in the presence of the sons of my people give I it thee: bury thy dead.

12 And Abraham bowed down himself before the people of the land.

13 And he spake unto Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, But if thou wilt give it, I pray thee, hear me: I will give thee money for the field; take it of me, and I will bury my dead there.

14 And Ephron answered Abraham, saying unto him,

15 My lord, hearken unto me: the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver; what is that betwixt me and thee? bury therefore thy dead.

16 And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current money with the merchant.

17 And the field of Ephron which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was therein, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all the borders round about, were made sure

18 Unto Abraham for a possession in the presence of the children of Heth, before all that went in at the gate of his city.

19 And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre: the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan.

20 And the field, and the cave that is therein, were made sure unto Abraham for a possession of a buryingplace by the sons of Heth.

Me thinks the beast has deceived many people into believing it is the seed of Abraham.

In the first three chapters of the book of Revelation, Christ took the apostle John (in the spirit) into the future and showed him what is/will be happening on earth as we get ever closer to the Day of the Lord and the Millennium, which I believe is very near since we are already living in the generation of the "Fig Tree.”

All of us trying to understand this amazing book need to keep in mind that this is prophecy and that many of the events that John sees spiritually haven’t happened yet in real time, even though John has “seen” them.

I don't think they have all happened, and they certainly hadn't when John wrote the letter. But I don't think each judgment is an isolated specific event. And I don't think the series of judgments (bowl etc.) are a successive  series of judgements. They all lead to the same place---Christ's return. I think they are different perspectives or views of the same things some from the perspective of the heavenlies. It is much too involved and complicated to go into. Let the reader do their own research.

But all the things mentioned in the judgments except the worst of the worst which will come immediately before His return, have been happening, are happening, will continue to happen, though they are presented in symbolic form. Wars and rumors of wars. tribulations. persecution, earthquakes, famines  etc. It is life on planet earth with a war taking place in the heavenlies and affecting and often through men.

15Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

16Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

17Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

18Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

That was before His ascension.

I would pray for the wisdom and knowledge on how to be wiser than the serpent...

I know if it were me, I would have been working on that situation as soon as I came to understanding aka TODAY.  Probably would have gone to Mexico a few times and stocked up on stuff I didn't need now but might need in the future, like antibiotics and all the body 'helps' I could find, maybe got one of those 'airtight' sealers and found some place for buried treasure, just in case.

I am not going to get into this here, but just FYI, we read that 'the time was shortened' and the hour of temptation seems to be about 5 months.  Just saying that is a really good number to have stashed away.

Please don't tell me it can't be done, because it can.  All of us have been issued meds that after a while quit working and so new things had to be tried.  We have all had those accidents that require us to replace a script.  Or an allergy comes along and demands a change.  WISER than the serpent...and if you are going to ask if that is breaking any commandments... all I can say is if you feel it is a sin, then it is to you.  If you feel you know what kind of a world you live in and what is coming upon that world, and you have been given information that would set you free from it, well, how you choose to deal with that is all up to you.

If my choice was to take the mark of the beast or get psychotic, I am going with get psychotic every time.

If they put you in some sort of 'lockup' and inject you with a chip, WHAT has that to do with WHO YOU WORSHIP?

It isn't the CHIP or the MARK.... it is the CHOICE to worship ANYTHING other than God that gets you the chip.

The REAL PROBLEM IS the BEING UNFAITHFUL.  Idolatry. BUT surely you know GOD has all these things worked out and is full of mercy and knowledge....

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27 KJV

"Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you." John 20:21 KJV

12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heb 4

9Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

10Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

11Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

12Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

13There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Can God no longer bring water out of a rock, send food from heaven or have a raven deliver it? Or multiply loaves and fish? Who do we trust?

A few thoughts on eschatology. I seldom discuss those things largely because I simply do not know, although in recent years, I have come to look very carefully at the various positions. I do not think anyone alive today fully understands the letter of Revelation, but I do believe those that heard it read and read it when it circulated understood because the Holy Spirit through members of the Body explained it.

My current position is that I am not overly concerned with the subject. Why?

Because as long as I am 'In Christ' and running the race--its all good--however things work out--and because I am looking for His Coming. I have an ear out for a shout and a loud trumpet.

This is not to say that I don't find the discussions interesting. Even after all of these years, once in a while I hear or read something that makes me go aha--that is interesting.

For some reason and only the Lord knows--these things remain unclear. I am OK with that.

About that "running the race". I suspect that for some folks, having a bible in one hand and a newspaper in the other, is an unhealthy distraction.

Maranatha!

Interesting that you should mention hearing it read aloud, and instructions were given to read it aloud. Of course there were not enough copies to go around, but there is something to be said about hearing it. You don't have time to press the pause button and speculate about what is this and what is that?

I read not long ago about a pastor who read Revelation to a group of young children. Simply read it. Story time. They sat enraptured. At the end one 10 year old boy stood up and shouted, "He wins!" They hear it like a picture book and I suppose we would to. But that little guy got the message. I only recently began looking at the different interpretive methods, and I don't spend a great deal of time trying to puzzle it all out.

I agree, and it has always been my position. Jesus said watch and pray, be ready. That is a timeless statement. And He means be ready for His return. And I am. I am in Him.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
