The woman turned Harlot - the Vatican. associated with Rome, bishops and cardinals dressed in scarlet and purple.
The beast in the bottomless pit - the garden of eden serpent beast used by Satan
The beast who was, is not, yet is - the end times beast king of Revelation 17:11, Satan empowers him
The seven head kings - Julio-Claudian rulers of the Roman Empire
King 7 who continues a short space - the little horn person, over ten Eu leaders
King 8 the beast king - King 7 after he has been killed and brought back to life, and continues the short space of 42 months
Ten horn kings - ten EU leaders, the EU the fourth kingdom, the Roman Empire, of the end times.

The beast from the sea in Revelation 13 is also the scarlet coloured beast in Revelation 17, and the beast from the abyss (another name for the deep sea), which is why we are only told of the one beast being cast into the Lake of Fire along with the false prophet. 

The Dragon/Serpent/Satan is separated from the First Beast and False Prophet when the latter are cast into the Lake of Fire and the former is sealed in the Abyss for 1000 years.

 Rev 19:19-20  And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.  (20)  Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Rev 20:1-3  Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.  (2)  He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;  (3)  and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.

The beast coming out the sea, as a whole, in Revelation 13 is the kingdom of the beast king, the mortally wounded but healed head.

Revelation 17 - is an over view chapter, spanning across time.   Satan is the scarlet colored beast in that chapter.

The status of the heads and horns (no crowns on either) in that chapter are time-stamped the first century when the 6th Julio-Claudian king was ruling the Roman Empire.     King 7 is the forthcoming end times little horn king.     Who later becomes the beast king, king 8.

Revelation 12 - is an end times chapter, with the first five verses a historic vision to identify the woman in the rest of Revelation 12 as Israel.    And the great red dragon as Satan.

Verses 6-17 are the 7 year 70th week.     The status of the heads and horns in that chapter are time stamped at the beginning of the 7 years.        The heads have crowns indicating that king 7 has come to power, completing the prophecy of the 7 kings of Revelation 17:10.

Revelation 13 - is an end times chapter, with 42 months left in the 7 year 70th week.     The status of the heads and horns in that chapter are time stamped at the beginning of the 42 months.

The seven heads have no crowns because king 7 will have been mortally wounded, the prophecy of the 7 kings of Revelation 17:10 over.

The mortally wounded, but healed head - is king 7 come back to life as king 8 the beast king.    The overall beast coming out of the sea as a whole is the kingdom of the beast king.

The ten horn kings have there crowns because they rule with the beast for one hour (figuratively), the 42 months.    They give their kingdom, the EU, over to the beast to be dictator of it.   

The EU is the beast kingdom coming out of the sea.     With 42 months, the EU will have gained control over the territory once held by the Babylonian, Medo-Persian, and Greek, empires - the reason for the composite makeup of the beast coming out of the sea.

And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.  (9)  "Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits.  (10)  There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time.  (11)  The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition.
 

Scripture makes a clear distinction between this beast and the dragon/serpent/Satan all through Revelation.

Revelation 17:8 trips up many people.    Revelation 17:7 indicates that the angel is about to make known the mystery of the scarlet colored beast - Satan.

Revelation 17:8 is that mystery.

Revelation 17:8a the beast (a literal beast) is the garden of Eden serpent beast used by Satan.    The serpent beast, now a disembodied spirit, is who is in the bottomless pit.

Revelation 17:8b the beast is the end times person, who the world will wonder, can't hardly believe their eyes, when king 7 is killed but comes back to life.      Come back to life, he will be the beast king of Revelation 17:11, who Satan will empower him.

Islam ends by the Gog/Magog event.  The temple mount will the be freed up for the Jews to build a temple and restart animal sacrifices - to later be stopped in the middle of the 70th week..

Please be more responsible with your posts.   You are drifting way off course from the topic of this thread.

In the new testament scriptures - the Jews were never accused of idol worship by Jesus.  You are talking about ancient history.
