Hebrews 9:27
It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment

Elijah and Enoch are the only 2 men in history that the Word of God says never died physically.

As Hebrews 9:27 clearly states, we all must die once referring to exiting our physical bodies due to physical death

So, if these 2 men do not come back to earth and die in their physical bodies, then this would be 2 counts of Hebrews 9:27

And as you know, it's not possible for God to lie, so Elijah and Enoch are going to have to be the 2 witnesses.

And what better 2 men could there be for this calling?

Quote

So you believe people who kill and torment other people in Jesus name are good and holy.

Normally, no.... but during the Great Tribulation when the Lord is pouring out His wrath upon satan and his followers... yes!

Romans 13:4 says the Lord's servant bears not the sword (deadly weapon) in vain for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that does evil

During the great tribulation ,which is caused by the abomination of desolation placed in Jerusalem by the son of perditions armed forces, the two witnesses will be ascending into the heavens in a cloud created by the abomination of desolation.

They will be in the fire, the smoke and the brimstone,in the presence of the Lamb.

Some of Jesus's witnesses just don'tt understand the difference between good and evil.

And scripture does say that Jesus is their Lord.

Revelation 11:8

And their bodies will lie in the main street of Jerusalem, the city that is figuratively called “Sodom” and “Egypt,” the city where their Lord was crucified.

Mathew 24:48-51

But what if the servant is evil and thinks, ‘My master won’t be back for a while,’
and he begins beating the other servants, partying, and getting drunk?

The master will return unannounced and unexpected,

and he will cut the servant to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

They will reap exactly what they sow.

Elijah and Enoch and accepted of the Lord and in right standing with Him so I highly doubt they will be burned before the Lord in fire and brimstone

Besides, I remember reading when the 2 witnesses leave this world they are taken up to Heaven in the way Jesus was taken up.

I highly doubt Elijah and Enoch are going to show up in Israel persecuting the saints.

But I'm sure some christians in the US would for the Israeli government.

Yes,the two witnesses ascend into heaven in a cloud to be in the lambs presence.

Revelation 14:9-10

A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand,

they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.

The Lamb is in the cloud and calls them up to his presence.

PS

I'm sure they would like to be like Elijah and call down fire from heaven and they will. They will.

Revelation 13

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

Alot of Christians want to be like Elijah and make fire come down from heaven.Ive even read in the gospel where the disciples asked their Lord if they should.

Luke 9:54-55

When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, “Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them?”

But Jesus turned and rebuked them.

I bet that thought never crossed the apostles  minds again.lol

None of the things you preach are written about the two witnesses.

The only thing is says they do is kill And torment other people.

God will not be mocked and they will reap what they sow.If they sow torment, then those two witnesses of Jesus will reap the same.

Their Lord was crucified in Jerusalem and that makes them christians.Jesus Christ is their Lord and he commands them and his commandments are with us in the gospel.

These two witnesses of Jesus are not angels. They are christians who kill in Jesus name.

Revelation 11:8

Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city—which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified.

Now show me with Jesus's own words where he commands his witnesses to kill and torment other people in his name.

Mathew 7:12

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

An extremely myopic view.  Read Zechariah 4.  It confirms the spiritual nature of the two anointed one who stand before the Lord of the whole earth, as is also stated in Rev 11.

The corporeal nature of the two witnesses is secondary to their spiritual (true) identity.  They are angels with earthly responsibilities. They were responsible for the judgment of Sodom and the mercy shown to Lot and his family.

The law is merciful to the obedient but brings judgment to the disobedient.  The law and the prophets bear witness of a righteous God.  The transfiguration showcased the Lord of the earth and His two witnesses, Moses (the law) and Elijah (the prophets).

The spirit of Elijah (two witnesses) also worked through John according to Jesus.  These same two witnesses will in the end times bring judgment on those who worship the man of sin and show mercy to those who repent, like they did at Sodom.

Angels of judgment and mercy.  The two witnesses.  Their corporeal form is secondary in nature.

You talking about the same man of sin who gives them power to rule over many?

That man of sin?

39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

You talking about the same man of sin who places the Tabernacle of his palace in Jerusalem where the two witnesses will be staying? You talking about that man of sin?

45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

Yea,those two witnesses are leading a huge falling away for that man of sin. They remind me of Ballam without a talking donkey.

These two witnesses attack anyone and everyone who opposes the Israeli government weather it be Muslims or Christians ,it doesn't matter to them ,they have their orders and they will follow them to the T.
