Bush was pretty enthusiastic yesterday about the realization of his vision of seeing the Land of Israel divided and Palestine born being "closer than ever."

American Christians need to wake up and use their enormous numbers to influence their fellow Bible-believing brother to get off this path to destruction.

Muslims and Palestinians will not be happy with just a Palestinian state yet it is step forward for them so they will incourage it, but their ultimate Goal is the eradication of the Jewish people for the Arab world. I am currently deployed to the Middle East and none of the maps here recongnize Israel as a country but Palestine instead.

The President is behaving very foolishly (as almost all of us here know), and this is caused by bad Bible teaching. The President needs our prayers that he will come under the influence of some better discipleship.

Ideas--false or true--have consequences.

God WILL NOT save America if we continue down this path of joining the rest of the world in persecuting the Jews.

I think he is getting bad advice. You know, it is impossible for a person in his position to be an expert on EVERYTHING, and I think he is relying on his advisors, and the info he is getting from them. He is counting on them to be the experts. I think if Pres. Bush were to just sit down with those who know, and actually care about what is happening to Israel, he would take a different view. While Bush is a Christian, he is getting advice from cabinet members who are not. Bush genuinely wants peace in the Middle East, but I think his human decency does have a tendency to keep him from seeing that groups like Hamas are really as bad as they are.

The international community has been promoting the lie that the terrorists are people just like us, but with legitimate grievances and have turned to terrorism because they are at their wits' end, and are acting out of angry desperation. Therefore, the assumption is that if Israel would give them what they want, then the problem would be over. That is the story that Bush is being fed.

The truth is that the terrorists operate not from any legitimate grievance, but from an irrational, unreasonable, and insatiable hatred that cannot be reasoned, or negotiated with. If Israel were to cease to exist today, nothing would change. The terrorists would simply direct their hatred at someone else, namely other Arabs. We see this in Gaza already. The Palestinians are not better off now that Israel is completely out of Gaza. They are no closer to having a working government, in fact, they have gone backwards. They have destroyed the very things needed to bolster a working government. They went in an destroyed existing businesses that would have provided employment, hence tax revenue that a government must have to operate efficiently. They have thus proven what has been known all along, and that is that they are demonstratable incapable of running a nation, and on that ground alone do not deserve one.

It is becoming a terrorist breeding ground, now that Al-Quaeda has set up shop in Gaza. All kinds of weapons are being transferred in from Egypt and Russia. Every red flag is waving and every signal that war is looming is sounding off so loudly only the willfully deaf can ignore them.

Leonard, that is the idea I get when I read Revelation. Things are as they are supposed to be, just following the stream of time laid out by our Lord in his fortelling of history.
