A day means a single day when it is thus intended.  It means a longer period of time when it is intended to mean just that.  For example, in my grandmothers day she would send you home with an assignment to recite to the class the most common meanings of the word “day.”

If you were to meet Paul in person, he is a really nice guy with genuine concern for people. Even if he can lay down the law on people sometimes.

There are very few word in Genesis chapter one. So you have to know what each and ever word means. In this case the key that opens our understanding is "generations". But people seem to want to skip over the most important word that qualifies all the other words in this passage. 

Science uses the word genealogy. The Mormons use that word also. Both the Bible and Science talk about a common ancestor. This is why Science hijacks the words Adam, Eve & Eden. Even though chapter one day six talks about a male and female who are given the whole earth. In chapter two we read about a man and a woman that were put in the garden of Eden. Woman was actually the first name that Adam gave to Eve. I have tried to explain the difference between a female and a women but no one seems to be able to understand the difference. Not all females are women so they can not be interchanged the way people think they can be. 

When we ONLY have a few words, 32 of them. We really need to take a very close look. Even the word beginning. All the books in the world could not begin to explain what the word beginning means. Yet some people give it as much importance as "and", "if" and "what".

John 21:25  "And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which, if every one of them were written down, I suppose not even the world itself could contain the books".

Sorry, no.  

Some time ago, I showed you all the different meansing of the word "yom" in Hebrew.   You just go through them like it's a cafeteria, picking out the things you like, and rejecting the things you don't like.

Are talking as if the Adam in Chapter One is the same as the Adam in Chapter Two. They are BOTH spelled the same in English but in Hebrew they are NOT spelled the same and they are NOT the same.  

If anyone has 7:51 of time, this video will explain the difference between the Adam of Chapter one and the Adam of Chapter two.
