Many think that God's Law is just about morality, social ethics, and spirituality.  What they miss is the practical aspects of the Law. For example, some people think that sexually transmitted diseases are God's way of punishing sinners. Nope, STI's are the very thing from which God's Law is trying to protect us. Duh! Disease is the natural result of people sharing various forms of intimacy without discretion. Welcome to "sinful" flesh. Now repent.

Reported cases of the sexually transmitted infections (STIs) chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis all increased between 2020 and 2021 – reaching a total of more than 2.5 million reported cases – according to CDC’s final surveillance data. To reverse this trend, CDC is calling for more groups from local, healthcare, industry, and public health sectors to contribute to STI prevention and innovation efforts.

Are you serious? I wrote a paragraph on exactly

what was on my mind and you quoted it.

More than just moral laws, there are dietary laws that serve a protective purpose as well.

Some, I think, protect people from harm from eating their flesh and others protect certain animals that God wants protected from humans killing them for food.

Not that I'm suggesting a ritually kosher diet, but it certainly doesn't hurt to meditate on the purposes of the dietary rules God gave us.

These laws were given to the Jewish people of the Old Testament. Jesus fulfilled the Law. Where are the 613 Commandments applied in full to the Gentiles?

You can apply them to yourself if you find wisdom in them that you can apply to your life, they are not forbidden to the Gentiles.

Look beyond the stricture of the law itself to find the wisdom and  behind it.

What is required and what is not? I don't believe the Jewish people had a choice to selective obey whatever they choose. Of what laws to follow and what laws are optional were not left to the Gentiles whim either! Jesus fulfilled the Law in the New Testament.

What stricture are you talking about?
