Right, because a third earthly temple where Levites resume animal sacrifice is a "Spiritual Truth" and not at all worldly. However, you make it work for you, I really don't care about your interpretation either.

Psalm 40:

Sacrifice and offering You did not desire;
My ears You have opened.
Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require.
7 Then I said, “Behold, I come;
In the scroll of the book it is written of me.
8 I delight to do Your will, O my God,
And Your law is within my heart.”

Apparently, Steven's stoning failed to make an impression on you.

Acts 7:48 However, the Most High does not dwell in temples

made with hands, as the prophet says:

49 ‘Heaven is My throne,
And earth is My footstool.
What house will you build for Me? says the Lord,
Or what is the place of My rest?
50 Has My hand not made all these things?’

51 You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears!

You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.

^That^

I over posted you Mr M but I should have added that verse into my post,

He says here

Isaiah 66:4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

That which he desires/or delights/ or wouldest  versus chosing that in which he desires not/ delighteth not/ or wouldest not in as far as these things go.

A throne has nothing to do with a temple or an altar.

You realize David ruled Israel without a temple;

just a throne of righteousness and judgment.

2 Samuel 8:15 And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and righteousness unto all his people.

Psalm 103:6 The Lord executes righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

Psalm 106:3 Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that does righteousness at all times.

Fortunately, the Lord does not share your obsession with temples, altars, or sacrifices. How did you miss that?

Didn't miss a thing.

Ezk 43:4 - The glory of the Lord entered the temple through the gate facing East.

Ezk 43:6,7 - From inside the temple this is said;  This is the place of my throne, and the place for the soles of my feet.  This is where I will live among the Israelites forever.

According to Scripture the temple will house the throne. The glory of the Lord will fill the Temple and also His Throne.

You mention going backwards, it mentions the same here

It says similarly here

Isaiah 1:3 The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel doth not know, my people doth not consider.

Isaiah 1:4 Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

A few verses up it says

Isaiah 1:9 Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah. (This is quoted by Paul in Romans 9:29)

it continues,

Isaiah 1:10 Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

Isaiah 1:11 To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

Isaiah 1:12 When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?

Isaiah 1:13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assembliesI cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

Isaiah 1:14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

Whereas here it also says,

Hebrews 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

Hebrews 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

Hebrews 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

Hebrews 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

In those sacrifices is "a remembrance of sins" whereas in Christ's sacrifice there is "the forgiveness of sins"

Hebrews 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to Godpurge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

And then back here,

Isaiah 66:3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.

Isaiah 66:4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

Are these the things they will be offering, that which pertains to going backwards in that way, in those things where there is a remembrance of sins?

But still part of the unfolding of things (so to speak)? Is that how you are catching it?

This is the image that came to mind…

As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.”

I got a chuckle thinking about that.😊

And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!

1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Revelation 3:21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Here were the instructions:

Ezekiel 43:

10 Son of man, describe the temple to the house of Israel, that they may be

ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the pattern

11 And if they are ashamed of all that they have done,

make known to them the design of the temple and its arrangement,

its exits and its entrances, its entire design and all its ordinances,

all its forms and all its laws. Write it down in their sight,

so that they may keep its whole design and all its ordinances,

and perform them

12 This is the law of the temple: The whole area

surrounding the mountaintop is most holy.

Behold, this is the law of the temple.

Historical Facts:

Those who returned from the captivity had been given the design for a new temple, which they refused to perform for a pagan king of Persia. Two prophets, Haggai and Zechariah, had to prod them to even build what would fall short of the previous temple, for which the elders mourned.

Later, a worldly king Herod would build up the temple mount and the adornments of the temple that the apostles were so impressed with, and were told that it would be taken apart stone by stone.

Please note the foreshadowing:

The apostles brought forth the vision for the Lord's Holy Temple "not made with hands, but with the hearts of faithful men". From this vision, man has built up a religious edifice that we bear witness to today. This religious "temple" will be destroyed, as judgment will begin with "the house of God in Christ". The faithful are not of this world, or of a temple made by men.

There have been many claims of authority on the Ezekiel temple as being a third temple to be built. Yet what has been clearly demonstrated is a complete lack of comprehension of the significance of the second temple, which was never built according to the specifications shown by vision to the Son of man and given to Israel AT THE TIME HE RECEIVED IT. Clearly, no one has grasped the irony that the second temple was commissioned by the king of Persia, now Iran. What the Lord found waiting for Him at His first coming was to be "a house of prayer for all nations", but they had made it into "a den of robbers", and had to be destroyed. Facts.

I was attempting to measure the pattern last night and my lousy math skills kept throwing me off. So I am absolutely useless in this conversation. It was my first attempt though, I got further with measuring things in the book of revelation than I got with this one. So go figure right?

Mr M, I am also guilty of this complete lack of comprehension of the significance of stone and mortar temples, I will admit it.

I need to brush up on these things myself.

God bless

I posted under Bible Study "The Temple of Cyrus"

or you can just search "Cyrus" and find the applicable.

Daniel's ministry also aligns with the reign of Cyrus.

Daniel 1:21 Thus Daniel continued

until the first year of King Cyrus.

All blessings by the spirit of wisdom and revelation,

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
