Neither.

An antichrist is someone who denies Jesus is the Christ.Daniel does not say either of them deny Jesus is the Christ so one of them may or may not.Daniel describes the king of the north as what sounds like a malignant narcissist who exalts himself above all.

 

John says an antichrist is someone who denies Jesus is the Christ.

1 John 2:22

Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son.

 

I would say that Caiaphas was probably the first antichrist denying Jesus is the Christ even though there were many antichrists 2000 years ago.

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

 

But the Israeli government is the beast that came out of the sea in revelation 13.The king of the north will give him the second beast of the same chapter.

The EU is not the country that keeps invading the middle east throughout Daniel 11.The king In Daniel 11:36 will destroy the middle east after the Israeli government is destroyed.

The United states just sent it's 6th fleet stationed in Italy to the Mediterranean sea off Israels coast.

Everytime there's a problem in the middle east,guess who's gets sent south.But like I said,this is just a practice run .The main event is still several years away.

The United states has more fortresses than any empire the world has ever seen.As of now the US military has 100000 service members in Europe alone.Rissia can't even win a war against it next door neighbor(the little sisters of the poor) much less travel to the middle east.It takes the king of the norths armed forces three days to melt Palestinia from the time its forces in Jerusalem are defeated .Russia cant even plan a trip to the grocery store in that amount of time.
