Faith based tattoo question

I was in a home improvement store the other day and saw a fellow with Phil. 4:13 tattooed on his arm. Had to stop just to say "always good to meet a fellow believer."

 

As @NConly rightly says:

it does not take long before one learns just how many conversations are started by tats. I am always asking people about their tats.

 

(This also seems why so many Christians emerge with faith-based ink from tattoo parlors with a lot of confidence.)

if someone has a tattoo of a flower, I dont see that as an issue.

Re. what you said, back a bit: seems anyway like in some of the more conservative areas of the US, for ppl from a certain age onward to emerge with a bit of faith-based ink from a tattoo parlor is regarded as a real honor.

Personally, I shy away from any kind of sententious display or paraphernalia. Relying exclusively on adornment from the unseen. Our unity as believers is what I celebrate. It's not that they are supposed to get them. It's more that if they go into the martial arts they themselves as a natural thing, I guess, expect to express themselves in that way.

(Similarly Christian young men and women from 18 onwards seem to find a faith-based tattoo design as a natural way for them to express themselves and create opportunities to talk to ppl, especially of their own age.)

Many in one Championship ave tats, more than I would want. I watch for the fight not the tats.
