Faith based tattoo question

Since they truly do work in starting conversations, it's clear why so many young Christians are keen to have at least one done. One Christian young lady said about a lot of Scripture tattoos and her missions trips:

From my last trip everyone got a scripture tattoo..Some meaningful scriptures. One girl said she was so thankful .. realizing she could relate the tattoo to her life..I had that tattoo planned out for nearly a year (11months) .. Maybe next year when I go back (these trips are going to be regular every 4 or so months trips) I will get another. ..One guy decided last minute but everyone literally spent hours on their phone that day looking up verses and verse tattoos ..They are meaningful to them

Like you yourself indicated, they really do work:

I was in a home improvement store the other day and saw a fellow with Phil. 4:13 tattooed on his arm. Had to stop just to say "always good to meet a fellow believer."

Excellent point there, @Marathoner. The main, essential thing indeed is to be inwardly and spiritually transformed.

Seems also like in some areas ink has almost become part of the standard among the most conservative.

Hence why for so many Christians indeed it seems a natural move to use a tattoo parlor for something faith-based.

I think the Christians who use faith based tattoo designs as conversation tools would do so more in other social settings or when they are out and about.

Hi @angels4u back

I recently met somebody with a beautiful tattoo ..which gave her many opportunities to talk about the Lord..its usually not my style,but the tattoo from this lady was beautiful ( olive tree) we never know how God can use anything to draw some people closer to Him.

You can understand the motive of someone going to get some ink in a faith-based design pumped in at a tattoo parlor.

The experience of anticipation for opportunities to talk about the Lord can weigh heavily on Christians who have it pumped in:

I do not judge by the outward appearance, which is what a tattoo is, and all things are legal, but not necessarily edifying.

Different Christians' motives might vary, right?

Some Christians would hesitate to use a tattoo parlor; while others might go get a faith based tattoo design pumped in with total confidence.
