Hard copies I have KJV a NIV and a 1972 NASB and a ESV.

However those are mainly for just having if the world goes to pot.  I do all my reading and studying on an electronic version sold by Bible Soft.  It has 25 translations (one of which is an interlinier with both Textus Recptus manuscripts and Nestle), about 20 commentaries, maps  ans such.

I did a property clearance where an extended family had set up in the double garage and later been evicted leaving loads of stuff. I found a slightly used leather-bound Recovery Bible complete with a zip up case. This has replaced my old worn out red letter KJV breakfast Bible which had a great apparatus for cross-referencing, a good appendix, and helpful notes, all of which got thoroughly used before the internet made study oh-so much easier. Being of Chinese extraction, my found Recovery Bible has some weird translation rifts but I do like the helpful headings.

My breakfast Bibles stay open on the dining table where they get highlighted and written in on a daily basis.

Approximately 10. RSV, topical bible, two editions of the new Jerusalem, common English bible, James Moffatt bible, ESV and others. ESV is my favorite. My first was a KJV many years ago, and always carried a pocket version of the N.T. while in the military, even though I didn't consider myself Christian at the time. It was comforting to occasionally read verses when I questioned why things were the way they are.

In hardcopy, I have accumulated about a dozen Bibles in my lifetime; I cannot have too many Bibles, eh? All are KJV except one, an ESV; most are study Bibles. Growing up and memorizing verses in KJV, it is challenging to switch, especially when my church is KJV only. I do like the NASB95, ESV, and NKJV.

I have a couple of dozen translations with a package software program. I find some helpful in studying and translating, such as the Dead Sea Scroll Bible and Young’s Literal translation.

May I ask if Gideon’s International gave you that NT pocket Bible as you were shipping out?

That organization is near and dear to my heart and my church. Almost 53 years ago, departing from the Army induction station en route to a questionable future. I still vividly remember two Gideons in uniform handing out NT Bibles to each of us with kind words.

They and that little Bible made a lasting impact on my life I will never forget. Somewhere along my many moves, I lost that little treasure of God’s word and wished I had been more careful.

I cannot recall where I acquired it. It fit snugly in the small outer pocket of my army duffle bag. I wasn't travelling anywhere dangerous,(except for training), just very tiresome in so many ways.
