Ever wanted something and had the Lord bless you with it without asking Him for it? That is one of those wonderful, "I love you gifts" from the Father. This post is just such a gift from Him to me.

Kieth, thank you. I had that book some years ago but lost it somewhere. The one thing I like best about it was all the names of God listed in the back. As of late I have been really wanting that list but not wanting to buy the book again. Thanks.

I like when that happens, jesussaves! I'm so glad this list is being enjoyed by people. I get so excited studying His names that sometimes I just hug my Bible and praise Him!

I took all the names I typed out and put them in one Word document to have them all together.

Thanks to your gift from God post, I now have a printed copy on my desk :-)

p.s. I like to hug my Bible, too. The Word of the Lord is so very precious. He is Wonderful!!

Here is a short list of the revelations of His name that I have personally experienced.

1. Acts 13:23---Saviour, Jesus

(and by Him all that believe are justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the

law of Moses---Acts 13:39)

What a joy it was the day I realized all my sins were washed away, just as if I had never sinned!

What a joy it was to realize that Jesus revealed Himself to me personally!

2. John 1:1---The Word

I can only tell you of the great excitement I experienced when I saw that

Jesus was the Word. From the book of Genesis to Revelation, Jesus is not

only revealed in the Word, He is the Word! That gave me some insight of

how awesome a God He really is. The Lord tells us that out of the abundance

of the heart the mouth speaks. How wonderful to see His heart through His

Word. When I read that He sings over me, my heart leaps. When I read that

He collects all my tears in a bottle, my praises bring me into His presence. When

I realize He wrote my name on the palms of His beautiful hands as they were

nailed to the cross at calvary, all I can do is worship Him with heartfelt humility

and never ending gratitude, with thanksgiving.

3. Isaiah 28:16---A tried Stone

Through every trial, through every situation that only the Lord could

bring me through, through all the times He wanted to reveal Himself to me in

a new way to strengthen my faith or show me whom I am in Christ,

through all the storms that became calm because He was there, and in

every circumstance that I did not understand but trusted Him with it,

My God, my Lord and Saviour, my Redeemer has proven Himself to me

a tried and faithful refuge, a solid Rock that I can always stand on.

Bread of life, John 6:35

Before I was saved there was an empty nagging in my spirit. It's kind of like a pregnant woman who has a craving that can only be satisfied if she gets the right food. She will crave that thing, try to satisfy it with everything else around, but nothing is any good. She still has that nagging feeling that she needs "pickles and ice cream" then she is o.k.. That empty place in my spirit was filled the day I asked Jesus to be Lord of my life and it has never returned. He filled my spiritual stomach with just the right stuff. He is the Bread of Life. And I learned that, as I read His word each day, it is food for my soul and it keeps me spiritually healthy.

Those "birth pangs" of wanting to see Jesus face to face; living eternally with Him, will soon be over when He comes again. Until then I have a continual feast of "soul food," and will never have those empty cravings again.

"...give us this day our daily bread..."

Like that pregnant woman, people will try to fill that void with everything on earth hoping to fill the void in their lives. They try to drink away that void, drug it away, have adulterous affairs, get involved with porn, buy big houses and fancy cars, surround themselves with people and parties (only to feel lonely in a crowd)...whatever seems like a fix. Only that fix is temporary. The craving in the human spirit can only be satisfied with one thing and that is the Bread of Life, Jesus Christ. When we receive Him that void is filled.

Hello, All

Do not forget one of His most significant names, when Jesus referred to himself

as......... I am........ to the high priests or in other words Jehovah meaning self-

existent. Then there is Yeshua, Adoni, Prince of Peace, Mighty God, the Bright and

morning star The Bread of Life. but these are mostly New Testaments of Jesus and the list is alot longer.

Elohim and Jehovah in the Old testament are very interesting and the many Hebrew

usages and references to God. Oh yeah the Mighty One in the book of Isaiah. But,

personally I believe that the name that God prefers to be known by is..... Father.....

when we can cry out Abba Father it is the most endearing term in the Bible. So

Please let's not forget He is our Father.

Peace

Immanuel (God with us) (Matt. 1:23)

and Isaiah 7:14

"the virgin shall concieve, and bear a son, ans shall call his name Immanuel."

For me the most significant of God's names -it says all.

God (the Creator of the Universe, Lord Sovereign, above all things ...)

with: wants a relationship with us, wants us to know Him, came to us, stayed with us, lived as we are, was tempted "in every way" like we are, loved us, and still loves us, still cherishes us, still guides us, still supports us, still makes us go forward, consoles us, forgives us, never leaves us.

Us - men, sinners, creatures

And, as Paul says, if God, the Creator of all things, is with us, then who can be against us? :th_praying:

Really, I love the meaning of this name.

By the way, my real name is Emmanuelle ;)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
