Jesus did not say , "turn to chapter 101 on a study of Genesis".

You would be correct in that He taught in the temple. I think there is a balance.

Most of His ministry was simply meshing with those around Him, healing, casting out demons etc. TEACHING.

He was a teacher, not a theologian.

Well it isn't facebook, isn't supposed to be either. Least not as I understand the ministry's intents.

The intent is not to become a free for all for the world's messages, least not as I understand it's intentions. To simply let harangers and teasers of Christians to run amuck though the threads will be poisonous to the ministry's good intents and purpose.

Did Jesus not quote Genesis 1 and 2 in his theological teachings?

For me . . . I came in during covid looking to fill fellowship during a time when my church was online only. Frankly, it was and still is a shadow of fellowship in comparison of in-person church. This is not to say that Worthy is inferior in any way, it is just the nature of social media as a whole. It also is a way for me to be exposed by others who don't have the same views as I have about various topics, which is very good! I then can go to the Bible (the Standard), and see if what I believe is correct or not.

So, after realizing the above, I stayed on Worthy because it gave me a 'snap-shot' of the Church as a whole, and I have learned that not all churches are Bible centered. Some are legalistic, some are loosly social, and others are indeed biblically discipleship orientated like my local church. I also realized that many Christians are wounded individuals who need fellowship (as best they can find it), comfort, and exhortation. When it seems that they are not getting that at Worthy (we all have times that life keeps us from logging in), I attempt to do my part of filling that need.

So for the imediate future . . . I usually log into Worthy mornings EST and view what is being talked about, and sometimes replying as I am doing now.

Grace and Peace . . .

Ray . . .

Occasional?   It's the majority of what I have seen lately.  That said, there's nothing wrong with having a good time while maintaining focus on Who this site is supposed to be about, or has this also changed?  It seems that this site become member centered than Christ centered.  Take a good look at the front page and you can see where the focus is by looking at the post numbers in what forum: https://www.worthychristianforums.com/  Dig deeper to see which forums the majority of posts come from.  The numbers don't lie.

I do want to thank you all for making my point more obvious, and I am not saying this to be sarcastic.

But don't ignore that you can learn important things here.

It is definitely not the same place it used to be. Granted my life is a chaotic mess these days with dealing with things after my parents deaths but even before that I was not finding much of interest here in the past couple of years.

We've been here about the same amount of time and I agree it is different. I might add that the change isn't all bad either. I still remember well the way the Butero gang treated people.

When I log on, I read through all the thread titles that I haven't read before and post on those that interest me. You can see the general attitudes from reading the first few lines. While there are several threads of light-hearted stuff, it is not near a majority

For us older folks, it may be that we've seen the same discussions over and over each year in different threads; and sometimes the same subject in multiple threads.

I might just say that the old days don't seem to me to be a place that showed a good Christian attitude from too many of its posters.

You know we have a TOS and those looking will deal with offenders. If we can't be teased, I think we have a long way to go personally.

You still are not getting my point. Most theologians are all about the cold hard theology. This is why we have unsaved theologians. Jesus condemned those who knew the law but never displayed any genuine love of the Lord because they were devoid of it.

People in the pavilion are sandboxed. It was only recently I realized they are not privy to it. The area is labled as only for persons agreeing with our statement of faith. Yet we have a few with access who do not agree with our SOF already.

I think lighter discussion with unbelievers could be very helpful if they behave themselves.

Frankly if I was sandboxed like that I would not stay in it. If they make trouble, well that's something else.

Can we open the community to the pavilion please?

I think many of the unbelievers we find here and on other Christian forums may be unconsiously (or even consciously) seeking a reason to believe in something other than what they profess to be believing in as they post.

This should not be overlooked as a means of bringing the gospel to those who are seeking something to believe in other than themselves.

Just my thinking, not professing it, just thinking about it.
