I think most here know this already. DO NOT look at the exclipse or attempt to take pics of it with a standard camera. You could go blind in looking at it. I'll be driving home when it happens, and it's supposed to last roughly 5 minutes. I remember the last one being much faster than I thought it would be. It'll get briefy darker and be over before you know it. NASA is firing two rockets when it happens to collect data. CERN will be starting up as well.

Wasted a dollar in glasses.... The Mrs. is very disappointed, with a ringside seat, but solid clouds..

Dark and heavy overcast. 130: PM, eclipse directly over head, a bazillion wild flowers and not one butterfly, no deer browsing, not one bird feeding in a couple of dozen feeders, no squirrels raiding the feeders, no hawks or song birds flying. I think they also know something's up...

We had a few very thin clouds that made it hard to get a good photo. I didn't bring my good cannon camera, and just couldn't get my phone to focus very well.

I just walked the dog, no not playing with YoYo's, but a real walking with the dog. All I noticed is that it is sunny and kinda clear skies hot, much like it is May dry season already.

So the prophecies that nothing would happen are true. 1
