I got this lesson from a tract that was left on a gas pump at work. I think it would hit home for some that don't quite yet believe. I threw some comments in that I hope will help along the way. hmh

Luke 12:19- "And I will say to my soul, Soul thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry."

Luke 12:20- "But God said unto him, thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee."

So many times in our lives do we see so many individuals who build up their worldly goods, thinking that they are set in life, not wanting or caring about having God in their lives, only to wake up dead one morning.

Hebrews 9:27- "It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this is judgement."

Isaiah 64:6- "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righeousnesses are a filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our inquities, like the wind, have taken us away."

By ourselves, without God, we are nothing more than unclean beings who are in sin, awaiting the time of judgement when those who are not born again of God's Spirit through Jesus Christ will face their punishment for turning their backs on God and Jesus Christ.

John 5:28 & 29- "Marvel not for this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice." 29- And shall come forth; that they have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection fo damnation."

Romans 3:10- "As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one."

There will be a resurrection of the just and unjust. Those who are born again of God's Spirit will spend eternity with God and Jesus Christ. Those who are not born again will spend eternity in the lake of fire. None of us are righteous without God and Jesus Christ. Christ dying on the cross was the method necessary to make us righteous. All we have to do is believe and accept Jesus Christ in our lives and live our lives as God tells us to.

Revelation 20:12- "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God: and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."

Mark 4:22- "For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested."

Remember, until you are born again, you will answer for all you did while you were alive. Nothing will be hidden. After you are born again, remember to ask forgiveness with a meek heart. Once forgiveness is granted, we have no need to worry about judgement.

What could one face judgement that is a sin?

Matthew 12:36- "But I say unto you, that every idle work that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement."

Matthew 5:28- "But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust afer her hath already committed adultery with her in his heart."

There are many more examples of what sin are in the Bible, but if you choose to live by God's rules each and every day, you are better off in the long run.

Matthew 10:26- "For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known."

God sees and knows all. Who do we think we are fooling if we think to ourselves that we are being slick if no one catches us doing something wrong?

Galatians 6:7- "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

Matthew 25:46- "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal."

I don't know about you, but I prefer life eternal.

Revelation 20:15- "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

Personally, I like fire to roast marshmallows and hotdogs, but this fire that is mentioned in Revelation is not your camp fire variety. It is for satan and his minions, not us.

This CAN Be Your Life!

Remember, you don't have to live your life in sin, without God and Jesus Christ, with the eventual judgement and punishment for doing so. This is where you can change your life around and not only know you are going to have eternal life, but also to live your life more than abundantly.

2 Peter 3:9- "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

God does not want us to die in sin, but to have eternal life in righteousness, so that we can be with him forever.

John 3:3- Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."

Until we are born again, we cannot see or enter into God's Kingdom.

Isaiah 1:18- "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow."

You receive forgiveness from God, your sins are covered. Nothing to worry about in the future with God.

Philippians 1:21- "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."

We do more good when we are alive and living for Christ.

Psalm 116:15- "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints."

It is costly when one of God's saints die, but we have nothing to fear in death, because we are going to live life eternal with God and Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:9- "But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."

We have no clue what is in store for us when we finally enter into the Kingdom of God. We can speculate, fantasize, dream, and wonder, but we really are clueless what lays ahead for us.

Remember, the Bible says there's only one way to heaven!

John 14:6- Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Romans 10:9- "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

You believe with all your heart and confess that God did raise Jesus from the dead, you have taken that most important step to live righeously and without fear of facing judgement later on down the road.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
