LOVING  THE  LORD  JESUS  CHRIST

Brother Steve, All of the verses you present, taken and understood in context, affirm exactly what I am teaching. ONLY the Righteous ones of God, those born from above are capable of doing Righteousness, which are manifested in us as ‘good works’. These are those acts done by God, in obedience to His leading, by them who are in Christ Jesus.

However, if you are alluding that I am a false prophet, or a wolf, then present us with your Scriptural reasons in your own words. If that isn’t your premise, then you are causing confusion by only citing Scripture without comment. I am more than willing to be corrected if Scripturally admonished. I’d be grateful if you were clearer in your purpose and reasons for posting. Forgive me if I am misinterpreting you. Thank you.

Last week we determined that God does not judge anyone’s works for salvation. Salvation is by faith alone in the finished work of Jesus on the cross and in His resurrection.

Matt 25:31-46

31 "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.  32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.  33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left.  34 Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.  35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,  36  I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.'  37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?  38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?  39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?'  40 And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'

41 "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.  42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,  43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.'  44 Then they also will answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?'  45 Then he will answer them, saying, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.'  46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

Works or the lack of it can make the difference between heaven and hell.

Only the Righteous can do GOOD WORKS. They were made Righteous first, by Christ by faith, then demonstrated that Righteousness by their works.

Rom 10:2  For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

Rom 10:3  For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Rom 10:4  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

They, believing that what they did made them Righteous, were wrong.

Jer 23:6  In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Any way you want to look at it, those who did not love their neighbors and do things that are good works went to hell.  Like I said Good works don't save you, but saved people do good works.   Obviously with the above scripture those who do not do them can't get into heaven.

No. You are looking at it from a human stand-point. I know many people who aren't saved that have lots of "good works. "A single good work will not afford you entrance into heaven. That is not what God looks at. He looks at whether you have believed Him concerning the Gospel. I have no argument with you when you say saved people do good works, that part is true, however, how many good works does a man have who accepts/believes the Gospel on his deathbed and has no opportunity to do good works? None. His faith alone has saved him for he has no good works. That is my argument. Should he recover from his deathbed and is truly saved, he will then go on to do good works, for faith always produces good works. But it is not his works that save him, it is his faith, and his good works show his faith, but they can never PROVE his faith. Only God knows the heart.

I think what I am saying is that if you have no good works, I do not think you are saved in the first place.   How many places did people think they are saved, and Jesus said, "I never knew you."

Amen, exactly. Thus, if people would look at James' teaching from this perspective there would be a lot less controversy. "though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?" No, because he doesn't really have Biblical faith. He only says he has it. But if you have genuine faith, then genuine good works will follow. Without the testimony of good works we don't know if a person is saved or not. The works can't prove he is saved but it can be an indicator. Paul addressed a similar situation in Corinth with someone who is called or says he is a brother, "But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat." Because of his actions we can't tell if he is a brother or not, in fact we are to treat him as an unbeliever because of his actions (works.) Thanks for your grace. Blessings brother.

WOLVES  THAT  THINK  THEY  ARE  SAVED

1 --- WHY  ARE  NOT  YOUR  WORKS  DONE  IN TRUTH

PSALM 33:4  for the word of  THE  LORD  is right and all  HIS  works are done in truth

PSALM 145:17  THE  LORD  is righteous in all  HIS  ways and holy in all  HIS  works

1 PETER 1:15  but as  HE  which hath called you is holy so be you holy in all manner of

             conversation

2 --- WHY  THEN  IS  GODS  GRACE  NOT  SUFFICIENT  FOR  YOU

2 CORINTHIANS 12:9  and  HE  said unto me  MY  grace is sufficient for thee for  MY  strength is

made perfect in weakness most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities that the

power of  CHRIST  may rest upon me

TITUS 2:11  for the grace of  GOD  that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men

--2:12--  teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts we should live soberly

righteously and godly in this present world

3 --- WHY  THEN  ARE  YOU  NOT  IN  THE  LIGHT  AND  HATE  YOUR  BROTHERS

1 JOHN 2:9  he that saith he is in the light and hateth his brother is in darkness even until now

--2:10--  he that loveth his brother abideth in the light and there is none occasion of stumbling

           in him

JOHN 3:19  and this is the condemnation that light is come into the world and men loved

darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil

--3:20--  for every one that doeth evil hateth the light neither cometh to the light that his deeds

           should be reproved

PSALM 119:130  the entrance of thy words giveth light it giveth understanding unto the simple

4 --- WHY  THEN  DO  YOU  NOT  LOVE  THE  LORD

JOHN 14:15  if you love  ME  keep  MY  commandments

JOHN 15:10  if you keep  MY  commandments you shall abide in  MY  love even as I have kept  MY

FATHERS  commandments and abide in  HIS  love

JOHN 12:50  and I know that  HIS  commandment is life everlasting whatsoever I speak therefore

even as  THE  FATHER  said unto  ME  so I speak

1 JOHN 2:5  but whoso keepeth  HIS  word in him verily is the love of  GOD  perfected hereby

know we that we are in him

--2:6--  he that saith he abideth in  HIM  ought himself also so to walk even as  HE  walked

1 PETER 2:21   for even hereunto were you called because  CHRIST  also suffered for us leaving us

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
