Guys stop trying to identify the antichrist

Have you ever heard a Christian claim that some famous particular political figure is the antichrist? I know you do. But Literally they are all wrong. The bible clearly says the son of perdition(if he exists) is currently a nobody who will overnight gain immense political power:

Daniel 7:8 "While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully."

clearly this "little horn" despite appearing out of nowhere, became so powerful that he uprooted 3 other horns. This scratches all these people:

Donald Trump

Elon Musk

or literally anyone else, from the antichrist list.

It's not the first time. Ronald Wilson Reagan(6 letters each name, thus 6 6 6) has been called the antichrist, but he clearly was not the antichrist because he lost power and died from Alzheimer's, he never even ruled the world.

Requirements for Jesus to return:

* The mass conversion of Israel to Christianity: Matthew 23:29

* The Requirement that the gospel must be preached to all the nations: Mark 13:7-10 which says: "

⁷ When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. ⁸ Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.

However, there are still many  as 1000-200 uncontacted tribes(such as the north Sentinel island people -Whom we don't even know the language of) that have never heard the gospel. We need to outreach these people. John Allen Chau bravely tried to evangelize to the north Sentinelese and died in the process - not even coming close to achieving the goal.

Simply enough, this world is not ready yet for the end times or the tribulation.

The  Antichrist Exposers remind me of these police and detective movies and shows in which evidence gets bent and twisted to fit up a favourite suspect who turns out to be the wrong person.

According to 2 Thessalonians 2:3 there is a great apostasy before the true "anomos" is revealed.

I'm sharing the following insights, which I believe makes more sense of prophecy than anything I have read to date. Too, it makes sense to me if God sent His son in human flesh to reveal the God Head to man, than He would also require satin to appear in human flesh so that mankind can witness his true character as well. 

 

The Man of Lawlessness

Paul indicates “the man of lawlessness” (Lucifer, the devil) will put on a big show with counterfeit miracles, signs, and wonders. (2 Thessalonians 2:9–12) Millions of evil angels (actually demons) will herald the fake news, “Almighty God has arrived! Come out to see him! He has come to establish the kingdom of God on Earth and there will be a thousand years of peace and prosperity for everyone!” The wicked will be excited by this announcement. Yet, we can only understand this deception if we learn the events that occur prior to the Antichrist’s appearance.The first four trumpets will devastate Earth and ruin its many infrastructures. People who live then will be in very primitive, miserable conditions. I believe the devil and his angels will appear about two and one half years after the first four trumpets occur. Consider the devil’s appearance as John saw it:

“The fifth angel [that stands before God in Heaven (Revelation 8:2)] sounded his trumpet, and I [John] saw a star [a term used to describe angels (Revelation 1:20), a brilliant being] that had fallen from the sky to the Earth [cast out of Heaven]. [At the appointed time,] The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. When he [the devil] opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it [a great cloud of angels appeared in the sky, the cloud was so dense that it looked] like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The Sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. And out of the smoke locusts [millions of angels with wings, the number of them was so great that they looked like a giant swarm of locusts] came down upon the Earth and were given power [from God to hurt certain people, the harm they caused was] like that of scorpions of the Earth.” (Revelation 9:1–3, insertions mine)

In John’s day, the Abyss was thought to be a mysterious region located beneath a flat Earth. People believed that demons dwelled in the Abyss and volcanoes served as chimneys for the fires that burned down there. The shaft (or bottomless pit) of the Abyss was considered to be a hole that went through the flat Earth. In this case, the star is Lucifer who was cast out of Heaven. As the angel king of the Abyss, he is given a key so that he and his followers can escape. This language indicates that Jesus deliberately and precisely controls when the Antichrist appears.

“They [the demons] were told not to harm the grass of the Earth or any plant [crops] or tree [they are not permitted to physically destroy anything], but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were not given power to kill them, but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes a man. [The torture was so great that] During those days men will seek death, but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them. The locusts [the angels from the Abyss]looked like [well-armed] horses prepared for battle. On their heads they [the demons] wore something like crowns of gold [showing authority over mankind], and their faces resembled human faces. Their hair was [long] like women’s hair, and their teeth were [deadly, powerful] like lions’ teeth. They had breastplates like breastplates of iron [they were invincible, human beings could not stop them, injure them, or kill them], and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses [very loud] and chariots rushing into battle [they had intimidating power]. They had tails and stings like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, [the star who received the key] whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon. [Whether Jew or Gentile, his title means: The Destroyer.] The first woe [the first curse on the wicked] is past; two other woes are yet to come [upon them].” (Revelation 9:4–12, insertions and italics mine)

John saw a representation of Lucifer and his demons in the same way that he saw the seven-headed beast in Revelation 13:1. If you remember, the seven-headed beast looked like a leopard, but it had feet like a bear, and a mouth like a lion. These features are representations that describe Babylon’s powers. Lucifer and his demons will not physically look like locusts having scorpion tails. Instead, the devil and his angels will be brilliant, glorious beings with a human-like appearance, because like mankind, they were made in God’s image. (Genesis 1:26; Job 38:7) The demons from the Abyss will be much larger and more powerful than humans. People will not be able to control, stop, or kill them. God will release them from the Abyss and give them power to rule over the whole world for about fourteen months.

God only releases the devil and his angels from the spirit realm (the Abyss), after the world has rejected the clearest evidence of His will and higher authority. When the fifth trumpet occurs, Lucifer will confront each wicked person with the clearest evidence of his will and authority. Standing about fifteen feet tall and deceptively cloaked in brilliant light and charming benevolence, the devil will tell the wicked that he is “Almighty God.” I believe that Lucifer is physically “15 feet tall” using the following texts. Psalm 8:3–5reveals that Jesus created man “smaller” or “shorter” than the angels and 1 Kings 6:23–26 documents that Solomon constructed a life-sized likeness of the two angels for the Most Holy Place.

To prove the lie that he is “Almighty God,” the devil will call fire down from the sky on command. (Revelation 13:13) The devil will declare he has come to establish God’s kingdom on Earth and he invites everyone to join him for 1,000 years of peace and prosperity. The devil is called “the false prophet” for this reason. Behind the scenes, demons will arrest and torture everyone caught refusing to worship the devil for blasphemy and insubordination.

The Beast from the Abyss is the Antichrist 

In Revelation 9:1-11, John saw “the angel king of the Abyss” released from the Abyss. In Revelation 13:11, John saw a beast come up out of the Earth (inferring this beast will come up through a shaft in the Earth). In Revelation 11:7, John says the beast from the Abyss will kill the Two Witnesses and in Revelation 17:8, John says the wicked will be astonished when they SEE the beast from the Abyss because currently, he is not visible. Putting these pieces together, I conclude at the fifth trumpet, Jesus releases “a higher power.” At this point, the devil and his angels will physically appear and descend from the sky. They will torture everyone except those having the seal of God as they take control of the world and rule with absolute authority. Paul calls the devil, the man of lawlessness in 2 Thessalonians 2 because he will not be subject to manmade laws.

When the five months allotted for the fifth trumpet end, the sixth trumpet will sound. At that time, Jesus will permit the devil to kill one-third of mankind. (Revelation 9:15)  When he receives this power, the devil will demand a one-world government be formed. Lucifer will set himself up as King of kings and Lord of lords and no one can stop him. He will demand everyone who refuses to worship him be put to death. To make his dominion complete, the devil will abolish and outlaw the religions and governments of the world. There will be one faith, one Lord, and one baptism. At this time, the 144,000 will announce an inflammatory third message to counter this global development: “If anyone worships [obeys] the beast [from the Abyss] and his image [his one-world government] and receives his mark [a tattoo] on the forehead or on the 

 hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.” (Revelation 14:9–10, insertions mine)  The devil’s one-world government is described in Revelation 13 as an image (or a likeness of the government set up by the seven-headed beast) because it will be similar. The seven-headed beast will be a global church/state directed by seven heads, but the devil’s image will be a global church/state directed by an evil impostor claiming to be Almighty God.

The Mark of the Beast

If we want to understand the mark of the beast, we have to understand the dire situation that will exist on Earth at the sixth trumpet. After the devil abolishes the religions and governments of the world, he will establish ten “puppet” kings as task masters. He will give these kings an assignment to build God’s kingdom. Everyone must work on this project or be punished for sedition. The devil will resort to an ancient method for dealing with large numbers of people to enforce his laws and manage his subjects. He will divide the people of Earth into groups of 1,000. (Exodus 18:24–26, Numbers 31:48–54, Deuteronomy 1:15, 1 Samuel 22:7, 1 Chronicles 27:1)  One person will be chosen from each group to serve as its captain. After the devil divides the people, he will tell each captain that the first 666 people willing to receive a tattoo on the right hand showing “666” can live.  All others must be put to death. (Revelation 9:15)  This gruesome tactic will expose those who have the slightest reservation about worshiping the devil and obeying his laws. People who immediately accept the devil’s mark will live.

The phrase, “the mark of the beast” is a poor translation from the Greek language.  The phrase should be translated, “the engraving of the beast.” The Greek word: charagmais translated “mark” in English, but the Greek word means an engraving, such as an engraving on a tombstone or a tattoo, an engraving on the flesh.  A tattoo is a very simple, low tech, easy way to control people in large numbers. Hitler tattooed millions of prisoners and the devil will do the same.  A tattoo is not reversible, transferable, or subject to theft or counterfeiting. To conduct business (some buying and selling will be possible at that time), a tattoo showing “666” on the right hand will be required.  The dire circumstances on Earth at the time of the sixth trumpet require strong action.

The Bible also describes Lucifer’s government as a great prostitute (Revelation 17:1), riding on (controlling) the seven-headed beast. This caricature indicates that everyone who goes along with the devil to survive will behave as a prostitute. A prostitute is a person without morals. A prostitute is willing to violate his or her body for something even though he or she knows that doing so is evil. The parallel will be obvious. When the mark of the beast is offered, billions of people who refused to love the truth, people who refused to trust in God and depend on Him for survival will sell their souls and bodies to the devil to survive. This is a profound lesson found in Revelation’s story: When people reach a point where they value life more than righteousness, the Creator of life has determined that such people are unfit to live!

I enjoyed your posted perspective...there was some "light or color" that came forth from it for me...thank you

As is typical...folks like you present your own timeline which is fine...however to suggest that these things are all yet future is troubling. Some of these things have their genesis in the Garden of Eden and are playing out on the earth today with much greater authority.

I can agree that the "final fulfillment" of the things you have listed is largely yet in front of us. When they are presented in the "one day they are not here...the next day they are" format...I have my doubts because it ignores all of the invisible "work" that the dragon and his demons have been "doing" right up to this point.

I do see tremendous value in the interpretation and understanding of the "last things" end times prophetic truths. Yet to try to get to those "final" prophetic revelations "with out" highlighting and understanding those prophetic elements...that have taken place in the past...are complete or fulfilled...and more importantly to me...what prophecies are being fulfilled right now in our day...will leave ones interpretation subject to question...by those who do consider the "past and present" in the understanding and interpretation of the Lord Yahshua's revelations of the end.

The reason I believe in this way is...one of the dragons greatest tricks is to get people to ignore his efforts of yesterday and today and to get the religious to focus on what "they think he is doing" tomorrow. Once a spiritual person adheres to that method of interpretation of the end times Scriptural prophecies...they are blinded to what the dragon has done and is doing...in that case...one does not have a spiritual or Scriptural basis for their interpretation.

Indicating that you believe that the "mark of the beast" is both physical and yet future...believe as you wish friend believe as you wish...I still appreciate your effort in all of this.

However if you are not absolutely correct about your stated position...and the "mark of the beast" were already here...this would through your entire "mark of the beast" perspective down...as it cannot stand as truth. Plus...it has you looking forward...to tomorrow...for the emergence of something that...may have begun happening in the past and is yet occurring today. I hope you can see the point I am making here. If one does not have a "full picture" of that which they proclaim...their outcomes will not be correct...which is what will play out.

Well, I certainly agree with you. The pope is definitely not the Antichrist, but he is definitely the little horn of Daniel 7 and 8. 
 

There is no Antichrist literal figure, but there is definitely an Antichrist spirit (way of disobeying God, or doing / professing anything against God… preaching a different Gospel). There are millions even billions that, during the past 2000 years, and certainly today, continue to follow one who preaches a different Gospel and are identified as Christians. 
 

Actually, it was the papacy itself that commissioned the Jesuits in the 16th century (time of the Reformation) to design a new interpretation that would remove the label of the papacy as the little horn of Daniel. They literally corrupted the verse in 9:27 and claimed the “he” at the beginning of verse 27 was not the Messiah, but this new “antichrist” figure who would come in the future (Father Ribera). 
 

God has gone to great lengths to describe the little horn in Daniel 7,8 and 11.

Tatwo, my post was addressing the misunderstand of the "Antichrist". I was showing from prophecy that it is Satin, not some human. It was not to reveal Satin from his origin to his destruction.

Based on over thirty years of study on the prophecies of Dan. and Rev., I believe I have a well grounded chronological understanding of closing events., of which the mark of the beast is future. From your comments here, are you suggesting the mark is already in play?

Yes, I believe, in things being taught that are incorrect, and can fall into the category of being, antichrist, spelled with a small "a", but the literal, "Antichrist", spelled with a capital "A" is satin.

I hope I did not confuse you or anyone within this forum.

Most assuredly, Satan is real! He is the one that disobeyed God and wanted to he like God. 
 

But there is no Antichrist literal figure in Daniel or Revelation. The “spirit “ of the Antichrist has been with us since the cross. 
 

But God, through Daniel has indeed identified the evil one (chapter 11), who will come out of the 4th kingdom of pagan Rome. He will gain power as he climbs within the Jewish/Christian church. The church will begin to take on pagan practices, rituals, and begin to take on an Imperial Roman like structure. It will leave the simple structure of the 1st century Jewish/Christian church and become a Gentile/Christian church by the time of Constantine. 
 

The Jews would effectively be removed from this church- it not only would no longer resemble the 1st century church but they would no longer be welcomed in it. 
 

This Gentile/Christian church would grow to be a very powerful organization while pagan Rome would decline in world dominance. Within 150 years of Constantine, pagan Rome would be slain and its body destroyed (7:11). This “church” would be ruled by priests, bishops, etc., and gain immense power throughout the church. 
 

But at the end of the day, the bishop of Rome would become dominant in this Gentile/Christian church. The major Christian centers of Alexandria, Jerusalem, and Antioch would lose out to the power of Rome. Soon, the bishop of Rome would come to be known as the pope / papacy. 
 

This is the one identified in Daniel that will go against His people, appropriate His church, go again His saints, and even go against God Himself. 
 

He will think to change God’s laws and commandments, speak pompous words, claim divinity and equality with God. In the name of God they will come to murder anthers torture over 60 million innocent people. Salvation is only through the Roman Catholic Church … worship of saints, Mary… all of this and so much more is preaching a very different Gospel. 
 

If there were a literal individual in the earth would he do more than this against Jesus? We are looking for a supernatural boogeyman to arrive… (which was also promulgated by the papacy in the 16th century AD to remove the label of the little horn from them). 
 

But a supernatural monster is not coming as almost all contend… he has been here for over 1500 years demanding we worship him, follow his teachings and practices… Take a piece of paper and on the left side, write down the teachings of Jesus, His commandments, His way of conducting Himself, His willingness to sacrifice everything for His people, would never harm even one of His children, would obey and honor the God of His Father… the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. 
 

Then in the right side of the paper, write down the teachings, pagan rituals, practices, and commands of the little horn. Worship idols,  (2nd commandment), claim equality with God (1st commandment), take God’s name in vain (3rd commandment), change God’s holy day (4th commandment). 
 

If you wanted to describe an “Antichrist” figure that would come onto the earth that exemplified one who would go against God, would you or could you find another that would do greater things against God as the little horn (papacy)?

This is not a claim against Catholics at all… they have been brilliantly deceived and they follow their teachings. How many generations of children have been taught their teachings over the past 1500 years?  They have gained so much power and wealth… (this is the one identified in 8:9, who would become “exceedingly great.”

And he will continue until he is destroyed without human hands. 
 

So, yes, Satan is real and exists and will be cast into the fire at the end of time, along with all those angels that cited with him. But on this earth, it is the little horn of Daniel 7,8, and 11, that will teach a different Gospel to hundreds of millions over the years. There is only One God, One Gospel, and One path to Salvation… and the pope is not him…

Your posting has a certain familiarity to it. See here for correction:

Rev 19:19-20  I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him who sat on the horse, and against his army.  (20)  The beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked the signs in his sight, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.

The beast from the sea, the false prophet, and the Dragon/Devil/Satan are three separate but complicit entities.

Rev 20:1-3  I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.  (2)  He seized the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole inhabited earth, and bound him for a thousand years,  (3)  and cast him into the abyss, and shut it, and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years were finished. After this, he must be freed for a short time.

The beast from the sea and the false prophet are cast into the Lake of Fire where they remain whilst the Dragon/Devil/Satan is sealed in the abyss for 1000 years.

Rev 20:7-10  And after the thousand years, Satan will be released from his prison,  (8)  and he will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war; the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.  (9)  They went up over the width of the earth, and surrounded the camp of the saints, and the beloved city. Fire came down out of heaven from God and devoured them.  (10)  The devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are also. They will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

After 1000 years and an attempted conquest of the saints and the beloved city, the three separate entities, namely the beast from the sea, the false prophet/man of sin, and the Dragon/Devil/Satan, are reunited in the Lake of Fire.
