I learned the value of a light lunch. I found that I'm more alert and able than I am with something heavy in the stomach. With diabetes I have to be mindful to balance carbohydrates with plenty of protein and/or fiber. Hence the tuna sandwich is the thing for me.

75 people so far have been sickened by McDonald's. I wonder if they can survive this latest problem the company is having. No one is at the McDonald's where I live. They were not doing well even before this food poisoning outbreak.

It can't be good to have that much chlorine in the water. Why would they need to put that much chlorine in the water if it is good?

That much stuff in the water is to satisfy those picky customers that want 100% guarantee there's no possible living organisms in their water.  We drink our well water straight out of the ground, and what ever 'organisms' we ingest just add flavor.

People have been doing this for thousands of years. There is no guarantee your water glass to drink with has no soap on it from your not rinsing enough to cause you diarrhea.

Not allowing your body to build up immunities will cause someone to be susceptible to sickness's more readily than without them. I can drop some food on the floor and brush it off and eat it without thinking about it. I do not obsess over my food/water sanitation, but give thanks to the Lord and eat/drink it with clean hands.

Living somewhat close to the border we might go into Mexico for an event, and always look up a cabrito taco vendor, cabrito is kid, a  young, milk-fed goat. Not so popular in the US. They're easy to find as they hang the carcass in front of their taquerías open air. It was usually covered with flys. So we always used salsa verde hot salsa to kill any flys in the taco... default_cool2-Copy.gif.a68b7eb376ebd4467bbaeffbcc1e91ad.gif

You take risks. I do not. That is the difference between us. I have already been sick twice from food poisoning. It is not fun. That includes Listeria.

I picture our Lord traveling from village to village with his disciples . He did not use a taxi or step out of a Mercedes limo in his patent leather shiny shoes.

He road a sweaty donkey or walked most of the time with sandals on the dirt roads, and his feet were filthy dirty, as is why the home owner would have his people wash their guest's feet. He drank from a common water well used by everybody that was open to whatever fell or crawled into it, using a common dipper.

I do not believe the people back then were taking risks. It was just the way they lived.
They were likely much more naturally healthy than we are today due to their lifestyles vs how we live today. I do understand there are some who need to be more careful. Some things I do at work is risky. But calculated, against experience.

I have already had a conversation with God about when and how he takes me home.
I accept his method, and HIS timing. So I can live fully without questioning God.

Thanks MM.  Be safe, remembering God won't leave us and will give us his best!

The first lawsuit against McDonalds was filed in Colorado a few days ago.

Most restaurants would laugh in your face if you told them that you had gotten food poisoning from their food.

You need hard evidence. You need a receipt for when you ate at the restaurant. You need the results of the lab testing that had been done in an ER. Attorneys aren't cheap so you need to be able to afford that as well.

Oh there are over 40,000 McD's worldwide. Employing between 150,000 to 200,000 humans. They also own or have minority  ownership interests in other restaurants too, including Chipolte.

Their annual revenue is just under 27 Billion dollars.

That 75 people got sick,  from raw onions from one regional supplier  to one franchisee is not going to belly up McD. They worked fast and found the problem rapidly. Of course there will be lawsuits and they will settle them rapidly too.

McD has a pretty good community relations team. Ronald McDonald houses for families that have kids with cancer  being just one. They, as I understand it from local news, are now establishing Ronald McDonald Houses facilities right inside children's hospitals. That is quite the awesome charity for a corporation to undertake, a very long term commitment.

Still I have avoided McD for years now. Just got tired of it decades ago. And I never liked Chipolte either.

At about $292 a common share, it's stock is  nowhere near it's low for 2024. McD survive? Yes of course. It is still the place many an individual relies upon  for their own employment or second job too.

Why even a former President and one wanna be the president tout their working at McD. One eating McD burgers and fries often ( and it looks it too).

Actually McD has always had good road coffee! Used to have great  fried in tallow french fries too, but the "healthier" eating fad has ended that treat.

If McD drops in value for awhile it will likely be related to the cost of labor  in the free world countries and replacing that labor force with AI driven machines (robotics).

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
