But here is medical website:

You are directing me to a medical website. They don't know what it is. It's all theory. It's like someone with a drinking problem. They call it a sickness or a disorder, but what it really is, it's a choice SIN.

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Why is he called the prince of peace because through him we can have peace because he took our sins upon him on the cross. We have a eternal hope. The choice is ours. Not that life is easy, but as believers we have a choice, we can choose faith and trust his promises and die to self or be a slave to self.

I choose Christ--Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

I believe Christ is coming back soon. If not, I'll be going to him.

2 Pet 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Jesus is going to be coming back soon if a person doesn't believe in him, there's one outcome that is eternal judgment in hell, that's why I must tell all men about the gospel.

And you don't know what it is either. Your opinion is theory. Medical research does know.

You are absolutely right I don't know anything either. It is just my opinion.

There are a few things that the scripture does teach, one is we are dead in Adam. Another is the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

I have been through a lot of things in my life, in 1964 I was in Vietnam. I became a believer in Christ at the age of 23, I am now 80 years old. I've had cancer, heart problems. I can't tell you all the terrible things that have happened in my life. I know what anxiety is, I know what anger is, I know what worry is, you name it and I've done it.

Then I heard the wonderful message of the gospel of grace. It changed me through the Holy Spirit. I was born again. I was a new man, but I still had the flash which wars against that new man. When anxiety or anger or worry comes and it might stick around for a little while, an hour or two or three hours, I eventually find rest in my salvation through faith.

I have never blamed God for my circumstances or my situations. my anxiety is always self-centered. my anger is always self-centered, my worry is always self-centered. You name it and it's always self-centered when it comes to the flesh. When I see my failures, it makes me thankful for my salvation Rom 2:4.

I have been married going on 57 years. Praise the Lord its because of his mercy and grace. I and my wife are simple people. We don't have much. We don't have a new cars. We don't have debt. We live in a rental, but we know what contentment is most the time. We try not to be complainers we try to be thankful. Me and my wife do not believe we deserve anything that helps with contentment. we look at medical as a gift not a need.

Jesus said "Luke 9:58" And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. In "Phil 2:5" we are to have the mind Christ. In "1 Jn 2:6" we are to walk as He walked. Who am I to be unhappy?

What I am saying is for believers only.

But wait there's more!..

Can anxiety be a good thing  too? Might God use anxiety to the good for those that believe on Jesus as their Lord God and savior?

Perhaps so!

See https://au.thegospelcoalition.org/article/dont-anxious-anything-gods-got-say/

Excerpt; ..."We tend to speak about anxiety as a negative thing, but the Bible can speak about it as a positive thing. Anxiety is not always sinful, sometimes it is a right response to living in a broken world.

The Bigger Picture: Anxiety In a Fallen World

Which leads us to the bigger picture. When you think about anxiety for a moment, you realise that it’s not something that was needed in the world before the fall—when we walked with God in the cool of the day—nor will it be needed in the New Heavens and the New Earth—when Jesus removes all mourning, death, crying and pain. But in God’s plan, anxiety does have a helpful part to play in this world now."....

The unbelieving world can tell you all kinds of things about DNA, anxiety disorder all the other disorders, but there's one thing it doesn't know anything about and that's where all the problems come from, THE SIN NATURE THAT IS IN ALL MANKIND.

It seems to me like you’re saying the problem is in the mind or the body and there could be some truth there, but what I am saying its mostly spiritual to me. The world is busy, trying to heal their body or mine. What I care about is their soul, what does it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?

I am thankful that there was a doctor that could take care of my cancer or another doctor that could take care of my heart problem. But as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ my prayers was to be content, whether I Live or go be with the Lord.

I believe mankind’s heart is deceitful from birth (Jer 17:9) There is no fear of God before their eyes. (Rom 3:18) The remarkable thing about God is that when you fear God through Jesus Christ, you fear nothing else, whereas if you do not fear God, you fear everything.

Like the Lord say in Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark :39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Only eight were saved out of millions, the rest were lost. Like in the days of Noah, the world was full of problems just like today and what did Noah do. He begged them to get on the ark.

Like Jesus said let the dead take care of the dead, and you come and follow me. The dead is the world and follow me, are us who believe? The gospel of Jesus Christ is the most important subject I can share with someone. (Rom 1:16)

I really don’t have much more to say on this subject. You and I have a different calling, and I praise the Lord for that, but remember we’re all called to share the gospel to everyone if we can. What does a profit a man if he gains the whole world and he loses his soul.

Some people actually think that the cause of a mental illness is demonic and that they are possessed.

That is heartbreaking and definitely not the truth.

Sometimes it is mental illness, and a few instances it could be demonic, but most of the time it's choice. I'm around a lot of veterans, which I am a veteran myself of the Vietnam war. Most of them, not all of them are suffering from alcohol miss you, drugs, smoking, and social diseases that people don't talk about, it has to do with their sexual habits. At the age of 23 I chose to follow Christ, which helps me stay away from the problems they have.

That's why I love to tell them about the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ. That's the only hope they have for eternal life, but very few of them wanted it. They want their habits. The choice is theirs.

ANXIETY

But the fact that cognitive therapy is usually the best treatment for anxiety disorders reveals the battle is most often in the mind. The Bible teaches that Christians can control how they think and what they think about because God has given us the Holy Spirit to teach such things (John 14:26–27).

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

Obviously prayer, reading God’s Word, and Christian fellowship will be important ingredients in overcoming social anxiety; these are all things in which every Christian should be engaged. But the fact that cognitive therapy is usually the best treatment for anxiety disorders reveals the battle is most often in the mind. The Bible teaches that Christians can control how they think and what they think about because God has given us the Holy Spirit to teach such things

Most people never consider that they can control their thoughts to a great degree. But with practice, prayer, and help from God, the battle can be won or at the very least the anxiety can be made manageable (see Philippians 4:7). We know God’s plan for His children does not include a life of fear (2 Timothy 1:7).
He looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). Those suffering from SA should realize they are not perfect—and neither is anyone else (Romans 3:23).

Living up to societal stan to trust Him more dards is not what make a person acceptable; being a child of God is what matters.

As we learn and get to know Him better, we become more aware of His presence and can trust His Holy Spirit to carry us through challenging social encounters.

Ultimately, we can depend on the Holy Spirit to provide us comfort in our pain, guide us into truth (John 14:25–27; 16:33), and produce His fruit in our lives (Galatians 5:22–23).

For those who struggle with social anxiety and extreme shyness, we encourage a biblical view of self. As believers, we are loved (Romans 5:8), we are accepted (Ephesians 1:6), and we are not condemned (Romans 8:1). Being secure in Christ, we have the freedom to reach out to others and love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:33).

I know this is an old post but I wanted to chime in as I suffered with crippling anxiety for years. This was a topic of discussion after one of our members passed away and he a lot of therapists for his issues. I'm going to be controversial here. I know a lot of people found CBT very helpful and if so great. Personally (before I was a believer) I found it to be a complete waste of time and tried it twice, both times so that someone else could have my place that might find benefit in it.

Back then it was the bottle but since turning to Christ and shortly after ditching the booze my anxiety had almost completely gone. So I don't know if it was the holy spirit, the lack of booze or a combination of the two. You could make strong argument that had I not turned to Christ I would have never kicked the bottle, and I would agree as I tried and failed so many times. The timing just seemed right for a number of reasons which are too long long to list.

The passage below sums it up well for me anyway:

2 Timothy 1:7"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
