This sounds like God's creation and destiny for mankind. I wonder if God is going to put a limit on Physics and Science. Mankind is really going rogue lately.

That raises the subject of the restrainer mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2, which really should be a separate thread.

I like machines, equipment, and tools to work with, but I don't do this to the exclusion of my relationship with God the Father, by God the Son, through God the Holy Spirit. In fact moment by moment I communicate with God over seemingly trivial things, and my wife thinks I am a genius because of the results. Ha ha.

Col 3:1-2  Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.  (2)  Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

1Jn 2:15-17  Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  (16)  For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not from the Father but from the world.  (17)  The world is passing away, along with its desires; but whoever does the will of God remains forever.

1Pe 4:9-11  Show hospitality to one another without complaining.  (10)  As good stewards of the manifold grace of God, each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve one another.  (11)  If anyone speaks, he should speak as one conveying the words of God. If anyone serves, he should serve with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

I think it's all too much. Too many images, too many negative things, too much time invested. Time to get off this Media- Go round.

Can we do it? Can we make the effort now, which will return us to focusing more on what's going on in our community, where we actually make a difference? Instead of watching some guy in Japan catch a fish, or someone's cat get freaked out? And scroll on, and scroll on.....

Moderation in all things. The Bible nowhere condemns drinking alcohol - but roundly condemns being intoxicated and the resulting debauchery. A similar principle would apply with social media. Sometimes when I need a break seeing a someone's cat freak out is hilarious. I can relate as a former cat owner.

I was a late arrival on the social media scene and don't do much with it except to stay in contact with family and others I have met in the real world. Than means FB "friends" are those I've met in real life. I avoid the endless scrolling as much as I can and often the Spirit lets me know I need to do something else.

Social media is not going away and the younger folks were raised with it. I believe we as believers better learn to use it responsibly for personal and kingdom purposes because the enemy will certainly us it for his. We're to share the gospel until the Lord returns and social media can be another means of doing so.

Worthy can be considered social media. Other than Worthy I don't go to any kind of social media. Life was

simple when I was growing up without the technology we have today. Technology it going to take more control

in our future.

As Individuals we can regulate the amount of social media in our lives. What I see down the road is already happening.... division. We can be easily manipulated, it seems. I wonder if one day anyone will be able to exercise their own conscience without self censorship.

I don't believe we have to get used to things that in the long run won't be good for us. Nobody throws a ball around. Nobody hangs out with the neighbors ( like they used to) . No one really goes outside like they used to. That's not good.

Yes, we can make healthier Christian choices. Manipulation could be another

topic on Worthy. I see it all the time and it is deceitful and hard to recognize.

We are at the very end times. Worldly people are going to get worse and worse not better.

I agree. Your statement made me think about this verse...Can you see the correlation:

Revelation 18:3-4

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

[4]And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

If you believe this is the fourth beast (kingdom) that has the whole world indoctrinated into their antichrist society. " Come out of her, my people"....in other words remove your fleshly involvement with the practices of satans kingdom and endeavor to live a Christ- like life.

We are not in the 7 year tribulation as yet. The rapture of the Church has to take place and then the Antichrist will be known to the world. Our world is ripe for that now but it hasn't happened yet.

I always had the understanding from scripture that Jesus could come suddenly, without warning.

The rapture of the Church is imminent. It could happen at any time.

It all depends.   I am 74 and homebound so I just do two Christian forums, YouTube and once in a while watch a movie on Tubi on my tablet.   Do a little email.    So this is something for me to do each day.

Also homebound and in a very small town full of people who are both far outside of my age group and far removed from myself in terms of interests. As a social anxiety sufferer I tend to be terrible at communicating in person. On the internet there's still some issues, but I can say what I want to say so much better.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
