Indeed LOOK UP! to the heavenly things.

Heb 12:18 ¶  For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
19  And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
20  (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
21  And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
22  But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
23  To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, {written: or, enrolled }

24  And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. {covenant: or, testament }
25  See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

And again..

25  For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. {answereth to: or, is in the same rank with }
26  But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
27  For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.
28  Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

Hi @Anne2 Hebrews 12.2 indeed also exhorts to keep 'looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith'...........

If you knew scripture, you wouldn't have to ask me to walk you through it.

I highly doubt you'll be willing to have a reasonable discussion... Your response doesn't have a sincere tone and I think you just want to argue, and seemed posed to do just that.

If you want to dispute against scripture, perhaps you can find someone who does not value the Word of God and doesn't mind dragging it through your personal interpretation.

Btw, I don't have "beliefs..." I read scripture. It's simple and doesn't require someone to assert their interpretations.

All that and not one scripture provided to show a future Millennial Kingdom on this earth, because none exists

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Who are "they" that shall see Him coming in the clouds?

Paul says we saints will be up in the clouds with Him, right?
[1 Thessalonians 4:16-17]

Therefore "they" in Matthew 24:30 are the remaining mortals
that were not caught up into the clouds, they, are left for the birds.

Immediately after the tribulation of those days
shall the sun be darkened and the moon shall not give her light
and the stars shall fall from the sky

the sun became black as sackcloth and the moon became as blood

And the stars of the sky fell unto the earth

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in the sky;
and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn

And the kings of the earth... and every slave and every free man,
hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains
And said... fall on us and hide us from the face of Him
that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;
For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?

and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds
of the sky with power and great glory....

Revelation 6:12-17 matches the order given in Matthew 24:29-30

Thereby we can understand people go into rocks and caves,
shortly before the day of the Lord.

Also such is specifically stated in Isaiah 2:19
"they shall go into the holes of the rocks,
and in the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord,
and for the glory of His majesty,
when He arises to shake terribly the earth"

they go underground due to the end time happenings.
This sentiment is also in Luke 21:25-26.

People go underground, the Lord returns
raising His saints immortal to be alongside Him as He returns.

During the past 1000 years, Jerusalem has been surrounded by
armies and invaded multiple times.
The nations do battle and will continue to battle until the Lord returns to reign.

If Revelation 20:5-6 is not literal,
was the death and resurrection of Christ literal?

You see the literal death and resurrection of Christ
demonstrates and proves that all these passages:
Job 19:26
Isaiah 26:19
Ezekiel 37:12
Daniel 12:2
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
Revelation 20:6
Are indeed about actual literal resurrection.

I think Revelation says that Satan will be bound during the millennium.

In any event, it seems that nobody (especially me) has an understanding of the "millennium".

I fully understand the words (Thousand Years) they do nothing more than explain the Lord's spiritual realm of no time, where one day is a thousand years

2 Peter 3:8KJV

8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

When Jesus returns the resurrection takes place as the last enemy death is destroyed, this is the final judgment, death and hell are cast into the lake of fire Rev 20:14-15 (The End)

There isn't a Millennial Kingdom on this earth between verses 23-24 below, as you falsely add to scripture something not seen

1 Corinthians 15:21-26 & 52-54KJV

21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

The 1000 year reign of Christ is clearly within those words.

"...the kingdom.... for He must reign until death is destroyed."

The order Paul gives matches the order given in Revelation.

Revelation 20:4-5 = Resurrections
Revelation 20:6-8 = Reign
Revelation 20:14 "and death and hades were cast into the lake of fire"
Revelation 21:4 "there shall be no more death"

There is one future coming of Jesus Christ in the heavens, the dead in Christ will rise first, and the living will be caught up

At this time the world is dissolved by the Lord's fire in final judgment (The End)

It appears you have a hard time accepting the fact Jesus returns in "Fire" and its not a little boy scout fire in a campground

Luke 17:29-30KJV

29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
