Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has Chosen as His Heritage!!

Psalm 33:12.

I love this verse, and I cringe every time someone applies it to today's state of Israel. Besides the beautiful display of kindness and love towards their neighbors, You do realize that God has rejected them because they rejected him?

You cannot have God the Father without God the Son.

1 John 2:22-23 KJV

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. [23] Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

Psalm 33:12 has everything to do with the nation of believers in Jesus Christ.

Maybe it's God's plan that they remain "lost" from him until Jesus comes in glory and saves them - or not. :)

"jews" are under the same "law of sin and death". I don't know where this special treatment comes from.

The Old Testament makes it quite clear that their relationship with God is over. I have a good example here:

Isaiah 65:11-15 KJV

But ye are they that forsake the LORD, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for that troop, and that furnish the drink offering unto that number. [12] Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not. [13] Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry: behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty: behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed: [14] Behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for vexation of spirit. [15] And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:

I am speaking of what I think the the role of a nation Isreal in this world given the law that brings wrath.....Not the Church in Christ.

THE LAW of Moses. Of the Sinai/Horeb covenant....

Ro 5:13  (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
1Ti 1:9  Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

Thank you for explaining.

I have friends who are strongly for the Jews for the simple fact that they are jews and they believe something as the Jews believed at the time of the disciples and continued to do there after.

It is not just supporting them as a Nation and I will never say anything against that.

We have to continue to support the Ministries that work hard to bring the Gospel to them worldwide.

I just remembered that Stephen at the time just before he died he prayed for them and said Lord forgive them for they not know what they are doing.

And Jesus Christ also said the same thing. Jesus prayed the same prayer and I believe that he said that for when later in a few weeks he will send his disciples to them with the good news to remembered that he has forgiven them and no to judge themselves according to the Law in the same way Judas did that there is no reconciliation available to them.

Jesus on his own he forgives them that what he preached that anyone who do or say anything against the Son of Man God will forgive him which is not the case under the Sinai Covenant. Certainly we have to preach the Gospel to them as the good news with kindness looking at them with mercy because they need to believe also. Avoid all negative because then will be offended and go away with a strong righteous indignation just as it happened to Stephen. That's my take. I know some Jews a lot of them even a Rabbi who things I am also a Jew and he keeps lifting up my baseball hut looking to see if under it I am wearing the Jewish kippah because I know a lot about their religion. One time he said you know a lot more than many Jews.

Where I live in that suburb we have thousands of jewish people and every a few blocks in their neighborhood they have a synagogue and a school. The Mayor was Jweish for 35 years and we are used to one another. They have their Jewish store and bagels and breads and their baked goods and delicatessen. In the supermarkets and they also have their own, they gave a section for Jewish customers full selection. But we have the same cashiers and we are used to one another.

In blinding the people, I believe they sin in ignorance.....The law forgives such sins.

Anne, God is done with them as a group of people who were called to be a representation of Him. They are no longer His people because those who trust in Jesus Christ are. New Covenant grace.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
