Thanks for your input.

I want encourage you. In our giftings we have freedom as long as we use them in the right ways. Like any format such as this there will likely be varied responses. If the Spirit is leading you to do or say something then nothing else matters. Just make sure it’s the Spirit.

Hanging out with unbelievers can wear a person down. It vexed Lot. Basically means they irritated and annoyed him. We need to reach them, but get our power and approval elsewhere. No better place to build one another up than with other sincere dedicated believers. The introverted feelers are often misunderstood everywhere. Even so, I think if you pray, the Lord will help you to navigate this.

Well, I feel maybe I shared too much. Maybe these forums are not the best place to over share about that. I don’t wanna sound like I’m spilling so much information out just in hopes I might meet someone the same. Probably not the best idea. I don’t wanna share just for the sake of sharing. I wanted to meet someone with the same gift. That’s all.

I think that different people can understand discerning spirits differently. Personally, I discern the spirits but I don't know what exactly you mean. Therefore I asked if you could give one-two examples of how you discern the spirits. This may help you to meet someone with the same gift.

I wouldn't be comfortable sharing that on a thread. I think I'll just continue to get to know people on the forums. Thanks for responding.

There's no quick fix to obtaining discernment; a well founded habit of prayer and Scripture reading and study, plus the importance of assembling ourselves with the like-minded (Hebrews 10.25) are so important.

Does anyone have or know another Christian with the spiritual gift of discernment?

I have come to believe I have the gift. It started in 2020. I have been a Christian since 2007 but never really had a church home. I am looking for one now, because being a Christian with discernment during these changing times is very discouraging. I need the body of Christ so much right now.

I had hoped this gift would be useful and appropriate for the church, I mean a local church, because it can become very disheartening when I'm among unbelievers. I got into the habit of being judgemental and condemning toward unbelievers. Because of what I can sense.

I know now it's not right to be judgemental, even if you can see past the surface, I'm supposed to forgive if they offend me and not make an entire estimation of a person's state just because they are being particularly hostile to me. That took a while to learn.

So I'm wondering why it's so hard to be accepted in a church, seemingly, because of my spiritual gift. I really thought Christians would welcome it or might even respect it, but I kinda get the same reaction even from Christians. It's not taken kindly. I might just be weird too, I am kinda awkward and don't have the best social skills (so I've been told). And I can see, I can understand, why it might seem inappropriate as someone new to a church, to come in with that gift, simply because they just don't know you.

Well, my hope is to find someone who can understand all of this. It's overwhelming trying to get by without a church. I want a safe space where discernment can be a good thing and not a nuisance or an invitation for spiritual warfare. Well, that's kind of the reality in the times we live in. But I hope it would helpful to find someone who can identify with the same struggle.

Even if you just have a word of encouragement it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for listening.

Hi.. :) first there is no such gift in the word of God called "discernment" Some times people that call this discernment can be the word of knowledge. There is a gift discerning Of Spirits and that is seeing into the spiritual realm. :) there is no gift discerning of others thoughts .. we all saved and none saved can do that. I guess I should not say can but do lol. His gifts which come by the sweet sweet holy spirit as He wills and its always I mean always to built up the Church.. to help so forth so on.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
