The Tribulation is the 7 year period that takes place starting with the signing of the "Peace Treaty" with Isreal. This "treaty" will allow Isreal to rebuild the temple and start sacrifices to God again. This is the treaty that will be broken after 3 and 1/2 years, at which time the anti-christ will sit in the temple and declare himself as god thus putting an end to sacrifices.

If it is as you say, then portions of the bible are meaningless, of no value whatsoever.

If the rapture is before the trib., why would He tell us to watch?

While we're all watchin', we go! We are to watch the signs. After that, the convinced will also be watchin'! I think the people who are left behind will still be able to read.

Blessings!

Where in Matt. 24 do the scriptures end for us and begin for them?

The scriptures are for all time. The message has no end and they certainly don't just begin for the left behind ones. They will have missed the boat. Hopefully, they will get the Message through the witness of the 144,000.

I must have read this a dozen times...I don't even have a come back for this one. I can't believe you're serious.

If you look at the scriptures logically, there's no way it can happen the way you say it will. The pieces don't fit.

If you're so sure of yourself, show me...teach me...help me to learn what you learned.

I do believe that 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 should be paid special attention to..it appears that Paul is prophesying about the pre-tirb deception here..LISTEN to this

1 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to Him, we ask you, brothers

2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come.

3 Don't let anyone deceive you in any way for that day WILL NOT COME until the rebellion occurs and the man of LAWLESSNESS is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.

4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God

5 Don't you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things?

6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time.

7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds him back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.

8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.

9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders,

10 and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because the refused to love the truth and so be saved.

11For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie

12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

I have not read this entire thread so if I have repeated these scriptures please excuse me..however maybe it is good to see it twice if it has been repeated...smiles

Thank you Jackie...well put. :taped:

For those of you who believe you will miss out on all the bad stuff, take a look at verse 11. "God will send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie".

It is my belief that many people who call themselves believers will follow the antichrist because of what God does in verse 11.

There is so much written about the devil and the end times but people seem to overlook it as if it doesn't pertain to them. I don't understand that line of thought.

Perhaps it's ego.

No, I dont' think that ego plays a part in this delusion of pre-trib rapture. As verse 10 and 11 say

10 and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because the refused to love the truth and so be saved.

11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie.

This is why it happens..but the good news is...God doesn't seem unwilling to lift the delusion if people are willing to receive the Truth of His return.

I was a pre-tribber myself. For no other reason than the people who were in my life when I first believed told me it was so. I asked God to reveal the truth to me about it and He did.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
