This in a country that just executed it's 1000 inmate. Since LEGALIZED MURDER was re-instated. By killing others, wether by the hand of the so-called authorities. Or by the criminals that roam the Earth. We are just as bad and evil as the ones who kill first.

And while I acknowledge that our faith is based on what happened after an execution. Certainly we can put aside our revenge tendencies and live in peace.

I do not believe Williams knows YAHSHUA.

He is among the most feared inmates in San Quentin. Although restricted to death row, he weilds a big hammer.

My take is forgive him.

Scripture over rides Gov"t. My humble opinion.

So then, it's righteous to forgive a man who murdered four people? We should just tell him, "Okay, we all forgive you for taking the lives of four people and ruining the lives of his family and friends. Here's a few bucks to get you back on your feet. Have a great life."

What about justice?

As I stated in one of the 1,000 topics we have about Tookie:

Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for in the image of God He made man.

It's called justice. If we use the passage refering to the adulterous woman then we could not condemn anyone or send anyone to prison. That passage is refering to actions within the church. The role of the government is to deliver justice, not grace.

Hi,

So ur saying that the church and the goverment r 2 different parties. When our Lord spoke to man; he was not only talking 2 man in church but man in the whole earth.

Well, we r not suggesting that they should not convict the man 4 the death crimes but we r saying that the death penalty is abit 2 strong. As in they can sentence him, but not to death.

Who r we mare men 2 convict another brother.

Let me ask you something. By what authority did this man have to take the lives of four others? Who was he to judge whether the persons he killed had the right to live or die>

The death penalty is not revenge. It is a punishment befitting of the crime.

And peace will never be truly known until the man of peace established His kingdom on the earth.

Hi,

Did u read what i just posted 45 minutes b4 or did u just over look it.

I suggested that death penalty is 2 high, mayb sentensing a long period of time would do. And by the way if u dont feel sorry 4 this guy that he'll go 2 hell 4 his sins b4 repenting, then mayb u need a heart of compassion because if our Lord had compassion, if u claim 2 b a believer and His follower, then may i ask, where is ur compassion?

Personally, I am for the death penalty. I base my opinion on God's word. All throughout the Old Testament people were put to death. In the new testament Romans 13:1-7 says basically that we are to abide by the law of the land. If we do this, we have no fear of authority. "For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil."

As has already been said in a few posts, if this guy has truly repented then he will go straight to heaven. What's wrong with that? And if he did'nt really repent, then he will go directly to hell which he would be going there anyway {if he didn't repent}.

Here in Massachusetts we do not have the death penalty. But every time it comes up for a vote, I vote for it. Obviously, one of the most liberal states in the Union, the death penatly will never become law.

in Him;

corey

Well to begin with, my response was to Avidan.

Secondly, no, I do not feel sorry for him. Why should I feel sorrow and compassion for a man who murdered four people in cold blood? Why should I feel sorry for a man who co-founded the strongest, most brutal, and most criminal organization that the county of Los Angeles has ever known? To me that's like asking if I feel sorrow or compassion for Hitler.

Hi,

The man is a non believer. He does or did not have the compassion. But we Christians r the ones Jesus was talking 2. We r to show the world love like Christ would or then we would only end up being hearers and not doers of the word.

Okay, now where in the Bible does it specifically state that we should forgive a murderer and set him free?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
