.... I think Michael the Archangel is this prince referred to in Ezekiel 47. Is he not referred to as the great prince of Israel?....

In Ezekiel 45:22,

"On that day the prince is to provide a bull as a sin offering for himself and for all the people of the land"

I doubt if Michael the Archangel (though termed the "great prince") would himself need to offer God a sin offering??

But do look at Ezekiel 37 vs 24 & 25 and the rest 26 - 27:

"24. My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. 25. They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, the land where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children's children will live there forever, and David my servant will be their prince forever ............."

Remember about the one third of one half of those Jews who would live through Jacob's Trouble during the last 3 1/2 years of Daniel's 70th Week? They would become the few purified Jews who would go into the Millennium in their physical bodies to repopulate the land of Israel under King David [However, some feel that King David would not be raised to reign from his ancient throne during the Millennium).

Anyway, could "the prince" refer to King David of old?

God bless.

Greetings Eve, et al.

Anyway, could "the prince" refer to King David of old?

No it is not possible. That would be "incarnation" and there is no precedent for it in the scriptures. Another example of this type of phraseology is in regards to the "coming of Elijah". Jesus makes it plain that John the Baptist "was the Elijah which was to come", but when you look at the overall picture, including JB absolutely denying that HE was the Elijah, then you begin to see that it was "the same type of SPIRIT" of Elijah that was upon JB.

Usually regarding the prophecies of David in inheriting something "forever", it refers to Jesus as the "inheritor of David's throne".

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Whoops! I overlooked that. King David was a King, not a Prince.

Correct DE. John Baptist was known as the "spirit of Elijah", but he disclaimed

that statement. :t2:

Well thanks Yod I'm Glad someone wants to discuss this ;)

That is what I believe also. look at the following scripture and tell me does it sound like Ezekiel is foretelling the establishment of the millennial kingdom of the Messiah?

Ezekiel 37: 24-28

24"David My servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd; they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them. 25Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there, they, their children, and their children's children, forever; and My servant David shall be their prince forever. 26Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore. 27My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 28The nations also will know that I, the LORD, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.""'

If this is a prophesy of the Messiah's Kingdom Do you also think that the Book of Ezekiel is chronological ?

The Millennial "Sanctuary" and "Oblation" of Ezekiel 40-48

The wonderful series of courtsand buildings, described in the closing chapters of Ezekiel, is properly termed " The Sanctuary", as it is set forth in 45. 1-4 The Sanctuary is in the midst of the central portion of the middle( the priests') portion of the Oblation. The alter occupies the exact center of the Sanctuary(not the Temple proper). Inside the Inner court we have the Temple (or Palace) Court or the Separate Place and the Temple-Palace itself.

Finally in the midst of the Separate Place stands the Alter.

It will be seen that the Alter before the House(CH 40. 47), in the midst of the Separate Place, is the actual center of the millennial Sanctuary and worship.

This indicates that the millennial Temple is really the palace or Habitation of Messiah in connection with the city of the Great King (Ps. 48. 2, Matt. 5. 35), when He, as the Glory of Jehovah", will from to time visit His earthly metropolis.

At the Glorious Dedication of the Sanctuary of which brief mention is made in 43. 2-6, Jehovahs Glory (Messiah) enters the House by way of the gate of the outward sanctuary which looketh toward the east (43.4; 44.1). This will then be closed for all purposes of general ingress and egress; and is reserved strictly for the use of "the Prince" (the risen David?) who, as Messiah's vicegerent (cp. 37. 24-25), will alone be permited to make use of it.

The majority of the maps show the division of the millennial land, and are presented usually with the geographical boundaries of the "Holy Land" as they are now known to us, practically the same as in the days of our Lord, with the huge square block of the Oblation occupying about one fifth of the map of Palestine.

This is an entire misconception. The promise in Gen 15. 18 yet awaits fulfillment. And if, with the statement therein that the northern and southern boundaries of the promised land are the two great rivers, the Euphrates and the Nile, then the comparison of this with with Ezek. 47. 20 gives us the western boundary, viz. the "Great Sea" (Mediterranean). This leaves the eastern boundary to be accounted for, and the possibility is that " the east sea" of verse 18 is the persian Gulf" at the head of which the northern boundary ( the Euphrates) will end. As. " the tongue of the Egyptian sea" will be utterly destroyed "in the day" (Isa. 11. 15), This amplitude or enlargement of the area of territiry promised to Abraham on the south gives strength for the suggestion of a corresponding extension tot he east. If this is so, then the whole of the Promised Land will be a magnificent territory, bounded on the north by the Euphrates, on the East by the Indian Ocean(the East Sea), on the south by the Nile, and on the west by the Mediterranean. This will include not only the arabian peninsula, but the great Arabian and Syrian deserts, and the plains of Babylonia. A glorious patrimony truly, and worthy of occupation by the "strong nation" of Mic. 4. 7, the people through whom all nations of the earth are yet to be blessed. See gen. 12 3; and especially 28. 14. It may be that the Twelve Tribes may be alloted special strips or lots of the land on either side of the Oblation as usually shown; but that an enormously increased territory N., E., and S., will become "in that Day" the realization of the Promised Land in certain.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
