:emot-handshake: I totaly agree with Hal, I was very disappointed that Zola Levitt was taken off TBN, They sent out letters saying it was because they had a contract only with Zola, but it is a fact they also warned him before his dying that he needed to not push the topic of Islam and the threats of the terriorst communities..I notified TBN I would no longer watch their station as they were cutting programing that is very important to the chiristain communities. I feel they are not allowing the truth to be told. Also with ALL the glitzt and glitter I don't feel this makes a good impact on winning souls for Christ. Many people struggle daily to make ends meet and then when they hear christain speakers begging for money, they are turned off when they see GOLD embelished sets and wonder what the money really goes for , and who's pocket it goes into!!!

Indeed. That was one thing that turned me off. All I could see were men wearing hand tailored suits and gold watches asking me to give them money. Without a doubt one of the biggest turn offs ever. As if spreading the Gospel of Jesus weren't tough enough we have to compensate for the damage wrought by these imposters and false prophets.

I believe we need to pray more and be less opinionated.

To answer your questions:

I am a 26 year veteran who spent 13 years on submarines aiming nuclear weapons at non combatant civilians

I did the remaining 13 years as a bomb disposal diver

I have seen how corrupt and self serving the military industrial complex is so I cannot jump on this latest bandwagon and cheer on this war.

Okay, bruh....I'm a Viet Nam era vet myself and come from a long line of military...so you have some credibility with me. It's these folks that post from the UK (et al) who love to throw stones because of anti-American sentiment.

Seeing that you're a patriot, I understand now....It's sorta like Murtha. When he speaks, I listen. When non-vets speak who haven't 'been there'....they don't carry much weight, IMO.

Thanks for clarifying.

Hi There.

I'm from the UK, I haven't got any anti-American sentiment at all and neither have any of my friends and collegues. Anti-American sentiment isn't as widespread in the UK as many of you seem to think.

However I would like to explain why some does exist. In the UK we have lived with the results and aftermath of terrorism for over 30 years by the IRA.

We have seen our soldiers beaten to death by howling mobs in Ireland because they happened to be in the wrong street at the wrong time. We have seen members of our royal family blown to bits by IRA bombs. We have endured IRA attacks on our seat of goverment (number 10) in London. We have witnessed indiscriminate IRA bombings in pubs in which many innocent people have died. We have had churches and congregations blown up by the IRA because they weren't the right denomination. We have seen soldiers set up by children asking them for sweets and then executed by the IRA. We have seen IRA bombs left in childrens pushchairs. We have seen hotels occupied by members of our goverment blown up by IRA bombs, some of their family members left crippled for life. I could go on and on. The IRA then became trainers of other terrorist groups (Including Muslims) who went to them for advice, they became, in effect, the world experts at terrorist training.

All the time that this was happening the main source of funding for the IRA was the USA. Their leaders were welcomed to speak in America and their coffers filled with silver, they were even allowed to hold fund raising rallys and parades. (for the so called-old country).

And With all respect this funding didn't dry up untill after 9/11 when the American people as a whole realised that terrorism wasn't a very nice thing to live with on your own doorstep. It wasn't untill this American funding dried up that the IRA was forced to the negotiating table and the people of Ireland and GB finally found peace from terrorist attacks.

So I hope that you can now see why there is some anti-american sentiment in the UK, and that is why you sometimes get negative posts on these boards from UK members. I hope this doesn't offend you, its not meant to, I am just trying to show you why some anti-american sentiment exists. As for me God Bless America and her people and God bless the UK and hers too. And by the way catsmeow, you don't have the monoply on Patriotism, I love my country too.

I hear you Reb. I can completely understand anti-American sentiments in that context. It is angering that our government would be party to funding a terrorist entity against Britain, an ally of the US. I am equally angered that our government treats terrorist organizations like legitimate political entities.

I agree with Hal Lindsay. The Islamic religion is a violent religion. The world needs to wake up, because it fell back to sleep after 9/11!!! President Bush says, "they serve the same God." I know I don't serve the same god. My God is JEHOVAH, not allah. Islam is not peaceful, in their book called the quran, they teach about killing Christians and Jews. How is that peaceful?

:noidea: KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK HAL LINDSEY!!!! :taped:

im gonna be the one who actually studied some islamic beliefs in school and say that thats complete and utter trash. if you want the truth its that islam is no more violent than other religions. the problem comes from the fact that all that non believers hear about the religion is involved in one radical sect that happens to be violent. real islam is a very spiritual, soulful experience, the islam you hear about on the news is a lie

Please explain to me then, using the quran that they claim is their holy book, how they are peaceful people.

Here are examples of non-peaceful teaching, as given by a previous poster:

Surah 4:74. Let those fight in the cause of Allah Who sell the life of this world for the hereafter. To him who fighteth in the cause of Allah,- whether he is slain or gets victory - Soon shall We give him a reward of great (value).

Surah 4:76. Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who reject Faith Fight in the cause of Evil: So fight ye against the friends of Satan: feeble indeed is the cunning of Satan.

Surah 4:95. Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward,-

Surah 4:96. Ranks specially bestowed by Him, and Forgiveness and Mercy. For Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Surah 9:5. But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Surah 5:33. The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;

Surah 8:12. Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them."

Surah 9:29. Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Well, as you can see, this is NOT a peaceful religion.

I love Zola's ministry. Do you get The Levitt Letter? The satire cartoons of Islam are worth it alone (not that it costs anything...its free). Zola went to be with the Lord but the ministry continues.

Messianic Jews fascinate me. I'm not sure why other than they are the chosen people to bring God's message to the world. To hear it from them gives it a golden quality I can't put my finger on. It's almost a matter of fact kind of thing as though anyone should be able to get it.

Zola's website also has a message board. I noticed it too has many of the same discussions as we have here on Worthy.

I too have left TBN. Hal Lindsey and Zola were two of the biggest reasons I watched. I still catch Zola on ABC Family Sundays at midnight cst (or would that be Monday)

Hatred is never rational, that's why they're so contradictive.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
