It's about the fact that you took the direct words, that this man is passing around the internet "The leaven of Paul", which is FALSE DOCTRINE and you "Unknowingly" and "Unintentionally" PASSED IT AROUND ALSO. I know that you had every good and pure motive by doing so, but...

You took the direct words, "The leaven of Paul", that he started on other boards, then you posted it here, so now he doesn't even have to come to this board to post it because now you have did it for him!

Well, since you are bringing up this issue about how to present information, may I ask what you would suggest doing then?

Consider: Someone reads something that grieves him (or her -but I'll keep it simple and use the generic "him), but he himself does not know how to respond, and so he wants to share this with his fellowship (the people on this board are a fellowship, too, you know). So, he shares this information as both a warning and a plea for help.

Now, he has two immediate options. He can show the exact words or he can paraphrase what was said. The advantage of showing the exact words are that there is no question to the hearer what is going on. The disadvantage to the paraphrase is that a person's paraphrase may be biased, incomplete, unclear, etc. So, the poster may find himself having to provide a link to the page containg the statement anyway - because more often then not people will either be confused or want to understand better to judge for themselves or refute the claims for themselves. So, either way, the heretical claims are presented on this board.

So, if you were unable to (or didn't have the confidence to) make a stand against the false claims directly, and you wanted to present this concern to the body of belieivers here for warning and assistance, how would you have gone about doing it?

I suppose (according to vog) I am guilty of this thing also. I moderate at a teen Christian site and I have in the past brought their questioning posts here seeking help form my Christian friends for wisdom in answering them.

Does that make me a peddler of falseness? Or a promoter of paganism?

No, Neb..this guy wants to take over. He knows nothing about us - nor does he care.

We have so many forums here, including Raiders, which are full of current events and issues...VOG would have a message board with ONLY his threads and us listening like obedient robots.

When someone, *like Michael 111* challenges the authority of scripture, this is an event we'll see in this age we live in. We need to be ready to give a defense.

VoG, if that's true, none of us have been deceived yet. Can't say if any that are not members on this board have been deceived, but one things for sure,

if we can refute this man's post, and people observe it, and compare it the scriptures, one less soul will be deceived. Do you get my drift?
