I was in my room trying to study when I just started talking to myself, having a conversation about this woman who wronged me a while ago. I started remembering all the mean things she did and said. I think it was satan trying to get me to remember, has this ever happened to you?

Ephesians 6:

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Look at this verse and think!!

Why do you think that you have to have a helm of salvation in your head? Paul was warning us about one of the most powerfull weapons of the devil which are his fiery darts( unforgiveness, envy, jeoulessy and other things) he use our own weakness to put us down and make us forget that we are the righteousness of Christ.

The enemy wanted you to think that if you remember what was done to you, you have not forgiven this woman. Therefore you can not go to heaven (salvation) because the word says if you cannot forgive you

enemies God can not forgive you.

This is his strategy to make you forget who you are in Christ. And take the joy of your salvation because nothing can separate you from the love of God. Having a memory is a gift from God and you can not be blame for it.

If you have once forgiven this woman and later feel sad for what was done to you or angry remember John said " ... Be angry but do not sin..." The devil does this to me all the time also. One thing I should advise you, do not ignore your enemy.

I "talk" to myself all the time. Sometimes it's the only way I can have an intelligent conversation. Actually...it's called "self talk," and it is quite common among some people who deal with the public (preachers, teachers, speakers, etc.). Also, it can help to crystalize your thoughts into coherency. I know...I know....I need to do more of it.

There are times when we are definitely oppressed by the demonic realm and such as what you experienced could have been just that. It sounded to me like it was just a little more than the usual talking to yourself. But regardless of where it came from, yourself or the enemy, you have the choice to clear your heart and mind of all bitterness and anger and move toward God and his love.
