I must not ujnderstand.

God doesn't save people because... it's better to have horrible things happen.. because...

Alos, if he solved the inherent problem, why are there still problems? If the inherent problem is solved why does it seem to do so little?

How many people get sick and refuse to go the doctor? How many people go the the doctor, get their medicine, and don't take it all? How many people have deep-seated mental or physical ailments and refuse attention because they think that their own way is better? And then they suffer and try to blame someone else?

God's already given us the "cure" for our ailment. Problem is, a lot of people refuse to take it, don't follow the directions, or think that they know better than the Physician. Then they have the nerve to blame God?

Feh.

Please explain to me why God decides not to help us? Sure we wouldn't LEARN anything, but I believe ignorance is better than senseless killing "God" allows to go on every day.

Also, in the book of Genesis it seems God condones ignorance, saying you may not eat from the tree of wisdom. It seems as if he tries to keep his people in the dark.

I have a 4-year old daughter. I told her one day not to drink bleach: "Don't drink that. Bleach is bad. It will kill you." Am I keeping her in the dark?

God has not decided not to help us. He sent His Son to die in our stead, so that we might have peace in this age and eternal life in the age to come. Just because His way of peace and salvation does not match your own ideals doesn't mean that He's malevolent. After all, He wouldn't be God if He simply did things at the whims of men, would He?

No but if she did drink you bleach you wouldn't stand by and let her die would you - and it would be a slow agonizing death. You would rush her to hospital to make sure she got the medical attention she needed as soon as possible.

Now, if that ever occured and you stepped in and saved her, do you think you have stopped her learning an important lesson? Or do you think you where being a responsible parent?

Most courts would like to know how your daughter was able to get hold of bleach in the first place, to actually drink it. Social Services (or the american equivilent) would be called in, and your ability as a parent, would in fact be questioned.

Right. And God also provided the pattern for salvation when He slew the animal (probably a lamb) and made coats of skins for Adam and Eve. He then foretold o Christ's victorious death, which would save man from his sins.

Now, if that ever occured and you stepped in and saved her, do you think you have stopped her learning an important lesson? Or do you think you where being a responsible parent?

No, most courts wouldn't. The issue wouldn't even go to a court or to Social Services. Accidents happen. The law recognizes that. After all, we don't live in a communist state over here.

Second, my daughter did swallow a penny a couple of years ago. I couln't have prevented her from swallowing it because I didn't see it in her mouth. The penny got caught sideways in her esophagus and we had to take her to the Emergency Room. They had to put her under to get the penny out. No Social Services, no courts.

Because he doesn't stop suffering.

Why would someone so intent on loving us and stuff want to cause us such pain?

No- He isn't malicious or wishing evil. Our God is good! He loves us and only wants what is best for us.

And therefore he wants mass killing, terrorists and rapists!

I get it now.

Thanks.

Nope.

Humans want this. Humanity is sinful. This is why Jesus needed to come. To save us from that sinful nature we have. To reconcile us to God since we have sunk so low. So that we can be forgiven for our many sins. So that we can be transformed into a more Christ like image.

If you are truly interested in understanding the Lord, why not stop the feistiness and ask questions, genuine questions.

If you think humanity is sinful, then you need to change your surroundings because you are obviously running with a bad crowd. Everybody in my life experience are good and decent people. However, it may just be that that's what I choose to see in them. I'm sure if I chose to focus on everybody's shortcomings, I'd see them. God doesn't make junk.

Good according to who's standards?

Mans?

According to man's standards, I am a saint.

According to God's standards, I am a sinful and horrible person.

I am a liar (who hasn't told a lie?), a theif( who hasn't eaten a grape at the grocery store?), an adulterer(who hasn't looked at the opposite sex and thought hubba hubba?), a murderer(who hasn't thought of bad things to happen to someone they don't like?), idolater(who hasn't put other things in a place of importance over God? Like, skipping church to go skating.)

Man I am EVIL!

Thank you Jesus for taking my punishment for me.

I could never endure what I deserve.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
