I'd say here that JEsus is really pointing them back to "what business is it of theirs"!

To keep their focus on what He has told them ,not on their own couriousness.

After all, don't we and can't we all get too courious about the things that are GOds alone to decide adn concern with, that are NOT our business?!

I have also wondered about this. Then in rev. 10:11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophecy again before many peoples, and nations and tongues and kings.

Then in chapter 11 it goes into the two witnesses. Could John be one of the witnesses.

The scripture is not clear who theese guys are many people think they are Moses and Elijah

but we have no hint of that in the bible.

They may be two people who have not lived yet.

But if they are people from the bible would it not make sense to have one from the old covenant and one from the new. Kal

Grace to you,

It is very Biblical to say that John still lives. ;)

The two wittnesses are most likely living normal lives today, just as you and I. Their spirits are "Waiting in the Wings", for Gods' call or appointment. They are Jewish, carrying on their lifes and not knowing of their soon calling.

But the Lord has prepared them. As he is preparing the body today. (body of Christ) The calling is out, and the two wittnesses are ready. Praise our Lord Jesus Christ.

John didn't have the vision. John narrated the vision.

Revelation 1:1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place; he made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.

Angel means messenger. John the batist was called an angel as were his messengers. It likely that the angel was a heavenly angel but it's also a possibility that it was in fact Paul who had the vision. (I have reasons but time restricts me.)

Also, I am aware that Christ said "If". John himself emphasizes this point but the fact remains that they thought it a possibility so why didn't Christ correct them?

Please you have to expound on what you are talking about here.

I apologize. I was in a bit of a rush before. Revelations starts off by saying that John (the apostle not the baptist) recieved this message from an angel. The word Angel literally translates to messenger. Most times in the bible the Angel is a messanger from heaven. Other times the messanger was a person. The bible refers to John the Baptist as an Angel delivering the message for Christ before his arrival. The difference is almost impossible to discern as to which is meant at which times as the same word "aggelos" is used for both. I believe that there is evidence that the Angel that gave John the message of Revelations was in fact Paul and not an Angel from Heaven.

The historical context under which the book was written has to be looked at. First off the book was written to the Hebrews in Jerusalem. Paul, being an ex-pharisee who persecuted the Christians, was not overly liked by anyone in Jerusalem. Christians hated him for the persecution and the Pharisee's hated him for his converion and new found preach to the Gentiles kick. So a book warning them of the things to come probably wouldn't have been too popular coming from him.

The second reason I think Paul was the one with the vision is the way the books of the New Testament close off.

1 Corinthians 16:24 My love be with all of you in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 13:13 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Galatians 6:18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers and sisters. Amen.

Ephesians 6:24 Grace be with all of those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.

Philippians 4:23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.

1 Thessalonians 5:28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

...and so forth. You can look them up on your own if you like.

And finally Revelation 22:21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.

No other books of the Bible finish off like this except for almost every one that Paul wrote.

Thirdly Paul wrote of a Revelation he received;

Ephesians 3:3-5 That is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly. In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God

Also, if Christ knew that he wasn't coming back for 2000 or so years, what did he mean by this?

Mat 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Mat 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Who standing there didn't taste death untill he came? Was Jesus wrong? It is written that the day and the hour no one knows except the Father but Jesus must of had a rough timetable to be able to speak at all about when it would be without lying.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
