Guest stevej
Having attended 2 different Baptist Universities i can address the question about funding. The funding has always been available in one form or another. Does the state or Fed have the right to withhold that money? Of course, they do. Secondly, having gone to an independent Baptist University, prior to enrollment you are required to sign an agreement to uphold the standards of the school. The result of violation is expulsion. This is clearly outlined. At the university I went to it was also clearly stated that if at any time after graduation you did not hold up the principles taught there your degree could be revolked. The second Baptist University i went to did not have that requirement. However, it was stated in small print in the catalog that the University did have the right to withdraw the degree if a ministerial type taught heresy. The schools have the right to set the guidelines. The government has the right to withhold funds. The government and school will either come up with a watered down version of a statement or the schools will lose their funding. It is a classic fight with only the students as the losers. Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. God is not for homosexuals and never will be. A christian cant stradle the fence. You are for God and what his word says or you agree with them and are against God. Just a clarification on something you said. God IS for homosexuals. He is against the sin/lifestyle of homosexuality. No matter what a person's sins are, God hates those sins. But He always loves the person and wants them restored to Him. Christians need to be careful how we phrase things like this in front of non-believers. The military kicks people out for being homosexual, after all.

Since America allows Sodomites to speak up on behalf of a disordered sexual lifestyle, every other American should have the unfettered right to expose heinous homosexual practices, its bacterial diseases, shortened lifespans, and war on nature in every respect. Either ALL Americans have the right (and obligation) to be heard - or NONE do. Universities which lecture on homosexuality as an "alternate lifestyle" must also permit lectures on homosexuality as a despicable, dangerous abnormality. Sauce for the goose is...... Or is equality a one-way street? Excellent query. GOD BLESS THE BAPTIST COLLEGE! http://arthurdurnan.freeyellow.com

It is sad too. Today's link 04/14 But he's also more confident, finally at peace with being gay and Christian. How can one who's a Christian be at peace living as a homosexual? About as much as a Christian who's comfortable with pre-marital sex or extra-marital affairs? Or a Christian who thinks thievery is fine maybe. They must think Christians should feel free to pick and choose which of God's laws are relevant and which are not. Personally, I've never seen any asterisks in the bible with a footnote at the bottom of the page stating, *exceptions in the cases of .... He, the student, is planning to fly to New York to give national interviews. Here we go again. More attacks on Christianity.

Ditto. As they say "If we don't stand for something we will fall for anything." Sometimes it's hard to take a stand but God will be glorified if we take the stand He does.
