I am concerned and have been reflecting (on my journey) as of late. I am also confused to a great extent. Here is how it goes.

A friend, of a friend, of a friend of mine has come to this conclusion; that the LORD is not who He says He was, is, and always will be. In short, my friend does not believe that CHRIST JESUS is the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.

I think that GOD taught me awhile ago to reserve my judgement in case, what I had judged my brother on, should fall into my path. And that's what I have be contemplating in the past week.

How can we seemingly go (in a lot of cases) most of our lives believing in all that GOD's WORD tells us and then succumb to the doubt that (for whatever the reasons may be) does come over us from time to time. This leads me to many a question and takes me back to the beginning, at least in my life.

You know how when you think that the LORD has gotten you over a huge stumbling block, you somehow end up right back in front of it again. I can't begin to tell anyone all the times that I have thought, "Well I would never do that," and then before I knew it, I was faced with just what I thought I was above. Maybe, it's just the way the LORD has of keeping us humble.

I think about all the promises in the WORD. I think about how they are really all we have to hold on to in this crazy life we have to get through. I think about how lonely I was before JESUS came to lowly me. I think about how terrible it would be without HIM to lean upon. I think about not being able to cast all my cares upon Him. I think about how I know, that I know, I do not deserve HIS GRACE. I think about how I really don't have a problem with an ALMIGHTY GOD, to WHOM all judgement has been given and is reserved. I think about how I just want to be with HIM when it's all said and done.

I want my friend, of a friend, of a friend, to know that HE is who HE said HE is, was, and always will be. HE is the GREAT I AM.

Doubts will come and go and come again and again. I've been there and will be there again, much to my dismay. But something so deep, so not of me, somewhere in the deepest parts of my heart and mind, tells me that the SON OF MAN, that Daniel saw and spoke of, is who I know HE is, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!

You might have a friend, of a friend too. My prayer is for THE FATHER, to protect us all, from the doubt that so easy enters in. I am so undone and waiting for HIM to make me complete.

It has been a long time since I've posted anything, let alone to make a new topic, but now it's out there and there's no looking back. I hope that someone will respond. Take care all.

You sound like you know what you believe that's a good thing.

We all got trials in life we "Got" to go through whether we like it or not. These trials are designed by satan to break and destroy our walks with God and I know this very well from experience in my own life. The devil don't like your faith in God in which you obviously have and he wants to take it from you so he accuses you of crimes you didn't do and then puts you on trial where you stay at until the verdict has been given of your innocence or guilt.

So it is with all of us none is exempt as the devil is the accusser of the brethren the people of God. If one takes a stand for God watch out the enemy will come for one of three reasons to steal, kill and destroy your life seeking to snuff out your spiritual life in God.

Holding on and not giving up is a test like none others in my walk with the lord not only with doubts but fears and all other kinds of things that I am faced with but all one can do is try to keep chin up chin up chin up and walk on and keep trusting that our advocate (lawyer) with the father will get us out of the trial scott free. Saying all that does not make our struggles easy by no means and I do not make lite of what you are experiencing for it is very real in deed. But it is really all about keeping your faith all the way to the end of this life so you may enter into the joys of the Lord. Blessings in christ

Thank you so much for posting this as doubts tend to fall on me quite a bit although I believe that is partially due to being the sole Christian in my household. Makes for a struggling time.

But you're right: doubts come and go but the Truth remains the same. My heart knows the truth and I trust the Lord to help me to overcome the doubts of this world.

This actually brings to mind a quote I saw ona church billboard a while ago:

Faith makes all things possible....not EASY.

Thank you for your replies. I was hoping that there would be more, but at least someone responded.

I would like for you to understand that it was about a friend and not myself. Having said that, I also want to make it clear that doubting does come upon me as it does most ( the adversary makes sure of that).

The root of my reasoning for wanting input from fellow believers, was more for my own understanding and I hoped to gain needed insight on the subject of doubting, from your own lives.

This is really what's bothering me. I'm struggling with why people think that GOD is unfair. What is the deal? The WORD tells us that we are in a fallen state. The place that we find ourselves in, is in a fallen state. The enemy is the ruler of the air that surrounds this earth.

I have asked myself the whys of life, most of my life. The WORD says that the secret things of GOD are HIS alone to know, and those to whom HE chooses to reveal them to.

People I love dearly, are doubting the goodness of our GREAT GOD because of what they see happening around them. They use all the classic arguments. "Why do the children starve?" "Why do people get murdered?" "Why must there be war?"

I want to defend our GOD with the truth of HIS WORD, yet even those I love the most will not listen. Doubt creeps in.

I want to scream. The LORD told us the way it was, is, and always will be until HE comes to set up HIS KINGDOM, just as HIS WORD tells us. They won't listen. They won't hear. Discouragement creeps in. Doubt is following close behind.

In my mind I see only one way, JESUS CHRIST. But in their minds HE has become the stumbling block, HE said HE would to some.

It was the recent event of my friend that has burdened my heart with all of this. While the idea of GOD is still fine with my friend, the idea of THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE, that THE FATHER has ordained is not. It seems to me a lashing out at THE LORD.

I have lashed out at HIM so many times. I know that HE can bear our hurting HIM, but it still seem so very dangerous a thing to do.

As my husband will always say, (he was an unbeliever for so long, but not now) we do not know the rest of the story.

I mean really, what right do we have to question an ALMIGHTY GOD, WHO formed all we know, by HIS WORD alone (JESUS CHRIST). For all things were created by HIM, and nothing that was created, was created any other way ( 1st chapter of John).

Take care all.

jMH, I understand your plight. I know the LORD smiles down on your concerned heart for your friend. I know you want your friend to experience the joy and peace you have in our LORD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST. I feel that GOD is saying to keep on doing what you are doing. If you want to see your friend reach that level of true happiness, let them see it in you. You have a positive rebel spirit, a gungho, JESUSfreak spirit that I can feel just by reading your post.If I can feel it and experience your character through the computer screen, what more can your friend feel it by being in your physical presence?!so JMH, be a living witness and testimony for your friend. Pray for them and enter into spritual warfare for them. If need be ask GOD to allow you to stand in the gap for your friend. Rebuke any spirits that have been sent to confuse, or distort the truth.always remeber that you have an audience. Your friend will find deliverance, but it will be through you, by GOD.

Azarel Star thank you so much for your uplifting post. I also want to thank the other 2 posters for taking the time to respond to my thread. I am sorry that there was not more interest in the subject. I felt like it was something common that all believers could share information about. I think it has probably taken it's course and is more or less a dead thread. It happens to me every time I try. Yet I know that, or at least I feel like the LORD wanted me to go for it, so to speak. Maybe I don't convey my points well enough. Is there a forum posting class somewhere that I should take? I obviously don't know how to do it. So, I will fade back into the woodwork until HE speaks to my heart again and I"ll come back out and go through the rejection of a failed thread again. Woe is me :o Ha! Ha! Take care all.

jmh137...

This post spoke to me either yesterday or a couple of days ago! You definetely followed the Lord! I had started on a reply but something happened and I didnt finish.

Don't look at the outward circumstances of things. The Lord's Word will not return to Him void.

I was having doubts at the time I read this and it encouraged me.

This is really what's bothering me. I'm struggling with why people think that GOD is unfair. What is the deal? The WORD tells us that we are in a fallen state. The place that we find ourselves in, is in a fallen state. The enemy is the ruler of the air that surrounds this earth.

OC

people i think struggle with it because it really is true G-d is not fair. That may stump some people that I would say that but it is true. As you look around you what you have is not equal to what your neighbor has or anybody else some are poor some are well off some are sick and burdened down and some are healthy with out it seems a care some have been blessed with good families some have no one to turn to some have terrible tragidies that come into their lives some never are touched. This is a truth in life it is not fair.

There is a parable in the bible where the man had a vineyard and hired some people early in the day to go work in his vineyard and they agreed to do it for one penny at the end of the day the man hired another worker to work for an hour and agreed upon the penny wage as well. So the ones hired who worked all day long thought they were surely going to get more than one penny for working all day long if that person was going to get a penny for his short labor. But when paying time came they only got one penny the same wage as the one who only worked a short time. They were upset and confused at this and couldn't understand it.

That wasn't fair to them but they had agreed to work for a penny. You see life isn't fair as this parable shows us this. But what I have found out is that G-d is "just" The needs of the latter worker could have been more needed than the needs of the earlier workers and G-d had compassion on the latter worker so their needs could be met. So don't fret over what seems not to be fair because it isn't but always remember G-d is just he is not fair in this regards but he is "just" and he is meeting each of our needs in so many different and diverse ways.

I hope now that you have an answer to give should others use that logic on you again you will have a deep peace within your own heart that His eyes are on the sparrows and he feedeth them and His eyes are upon us and he knows the things we need before we even ask or think but the most important thing is to seek his righteousness and all these things will be added into our lives that we have need off and we don't have to let doubt and worry destroy our faith. G-d is not fair He is just to meet all of his childrens needs

My own struggles in life in which i speak from experience has taught me this so I hope it helps you in some way to be stronger in the Lord and have an answer for others around who are doubting G-d and his great love. Blessing to you

Thank you Openly Curious. As I was reading your post I was thinking of something I heard a preacher say one time about the true greatness, power, and love GOD has for all HIS creation.

Then in the next few lines of your post you wrote exactly what I was remembering.

It went something like this: "Not only did GOD look down through time as the bird swoops down to the ground, but HE made sure there was a seed there to feed the bird!"

That speaks awesome love to me.

Thanks again all. You have all helped me whether you realize it or not. GOD bless each and everyone of you. I don't want to omit my thankfulness to any of you, so felix, thank you for your special post. Take care all.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
