Gold,

On what basis were you sure that you were in right relationship with God in the first place, and what has happened (other than your feelings) to tell you that has changed?

Well ericH,

i accepted God into my life and Jesus as my personal saviour at camp, when i was 15. is that not the right relationship? and the stuff that has happened, well... my life is flowing downhill again, just like before i knew Jesus. Other than that i dont. all i know eric, is that i feel dead inside.

Gold,

God will not turn his back on us. we however can turn our backs on him. if we feel far away from God, it is usually us that need to pull up the slack. are we spending time with God each day? are we studying his word? are we growing in our faith because of these things? even though we struggle and fall, if we are faithful to get back up and continue on our journey, in pursuit of God and we are faithful to repent and ask his forgiveness, he is faithful to forgive. he does however know what is in our hearts. if we mean what we are saying or if we are trying to pull a scam on him. we must be for him. we cannot serve two masters. gold, you must honestly look into yourself and be sure of your heart, towards God. salvation is not merely repeating a phrase, it is a state of mind, a lifestyle, and much, much more.

a right relationship is not just a onetime act. accepting him into your heart as your savior, is not the end of things, it is the beginning of a wonderful, yet not always easy life. spending time with other christians, in a bible believing congregation is a very good way to learn exactly how to walk with the Lord, in a right relationship. we will be glad to help where we can, but a face to face, time investment, in a church is necessary to your growth. proper growth. are you in rebellion against the Lord, in what you do in your life? are you spending time with the wrong crowd?, there are many questions and actions such as these that must be considered, to walk in a right relationship with the Lord. good luck in your walk with Jesus. don't give up. to him that stays the course, is the reward given.

Repent and forgive yourself. Then don't allow the devil to bring condemnation. Be Free in Jesus. As soon as you repent you will be restored. Seek Jesus-you shall find him!!

What happened after that? Was there a change in your desires? Was there a change in your attitude or behavior? Did you grow spiritually?

from sw:

Dear soul, you sound very young and I hope you did not really mean what you wrote above. Forgiving yourself is of absolutely no value before God. We believe we are forgiven by God for the sake of Jesus. That is the basic gospel. Self-forgiveness profits nothing except on Oprah and Dr. Phil.

A couple of things Fromgold.

I feel dead inside sometimes also, yet I have been a believer all of my life. But I also know that I have been saved for 2000 years, ever since Christ rose from the dead and assured my forgiveness with God, thank God the work of Christ has nothing to do with our feelings, we can take great comfort in that.

What do you mean your life is flowing downhill? Are you facing things like temptations, maybe your life has become a pattern of sin, or do you mean that things just are not going well in your life? I do know that life on this earth is often utter drudgery, we don't find any promises of happiness or worldly material, career or relationship success in the bible for this earth. We do find however a promise of eternal peace, of peace now and into the future and an eternal home with Christ our Lord. But the main promise we have is one of the forgiveness of all of our sins, totally blotted out as if they had never happened, hang on to this promise, pray, repent and continue to serve God as a person who is totally forgiven of your sins.

Peace to you Fromgold.

St Worm,

Once the Lord forgives us of our sins-whose memory is left involved- Ours- if the Son of God has set you free you are free indeed. One must forgive their self and go on. You can not hang on to self-condemnation or condemnation from the devil. Some people do hang on to guilt-why-I don't know. But if God forgives thats all that matters. And yes-you can not hang on to that- Has nothing to do with Oprah!!!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
