'DIRECT MY FOOTSTEPS ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD...' PSALM 119:133

A few days back i was at a friends and she has a little girl who is 2 and a half and she was off stomping round the house singing three blind mice, n went quiet, her mum called out to her "milly are you ok", seconds later, we here clomp clomp clomp. n she comes first with feet behind, in to the room, with her mums kitten heel shoes on... its got me thinking

Have you ever seen a small child trying to walk in the shoes of a big person? It's funny to watch. It's also significant: some day those tiny feet will grow up and fill those big shoes...

Do you feel like you're trying to fill some big shoes today, like you need to grow up fast because you've no option?

Ive realised that life doesn't wait until we're as mature as we'd like to be, before handing us some of our greatest tests of faith.

It seems Most of our training is 'on the job', and, like a nipper trying to fill big shoes, at first we do it badly, then awkwardly, but never stumble-free.

The only thing that can stop us from growing into those big shoes - is the fear of putting our feet into them!

The grace comes with the assignment. Grace is immediate, but growth takes time.

Don't be discouraged: 'He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion' (Philippians 1:6 NIV).

Another thing about filling big shoes, it makes us a lot more understanding towards others trying to walk in them too.

'How could you do such a thing?' is a question we don't tend to ask, because we already know the answer from personal experience.

Ever see a parent holding the hand of a child trying to walk in shoes that are too big, beaming with pride and delight simply because they attempted it, steadying them up, encouraging them to keep going, picking them up when they trip and bump their head? That's what our God does with us!

Just thought i would share what i felt was placed on my heart by god...

god bless you all

Hello Hannah,

I am so glad you come here and posted this for us to read. It is a very great observation on your part as you saw this happening. It is so true as far as life is concerned we grow up with the hand we have been dealt some are fortunate to have good stable parents to instill in their children good ground basics to live by and so they will fill those big shoes on sturdy ground. Others don't have that and have to figure things out as they go along and filling those big shoes is awful hard if you were not prepared to handle them.

But with the Lord we accept His salvation and the relationship begins right there as a little child and then if we allow the Lord He will teach us and gently guide us to becoming a mature christian. We can fill those big shoes through Christ Jesus. I know that it is easier said than done as I think you realize this struggle within your own self. but if you want to fill those big shoes then you are going to have to hold on to a most sure, stern and steay hand in which to hold yourself up while in those big shoes. And that hand is Christ our solid rock.

No matter where we are at in life Hannah if you have Christ then rest assured that the foundation up under your feet is a firm one and it will not slip out from under you even if you fall a time or two along the way because the arm of the Lord is always extended out to you and you can always grab hold and get back up in those big shoes.

I sense that in our natural life you lack in skills now that you have grown up and it is quite overwhelming to you at present. I do not know you so only I can go on what you have said. I don't think it was by accident the Lord showed you those big shoes for nothing but in order to teach you something. Which I want you to see just how much our Heavenly Father has personally shown you of His great love and has shown Himself to you in form of "Teacher" He often does this in my life when I cannot figure things out He shows up as "Teacher" and this I see He has done for you.

Just remain humble before Him and let Him show you what you need to know and learn in order to overcome things in your life that are overwhelming and plaging your heart and mind. The word of G-d is a great source for me as i literally do not have the skills to run my own life but G-d word gives me instructions in which to follow and I can follow instructions just read and do what it says. All the rest will come into place order will come wisdom and knowledge will come a sound mind will come but you got to stay in the word.

I do know that the Lord did not leave you on your own to figure things out all by yourself in life even though you may feel like that at present but He is there and He understands what you feel inside and are going through and Hannah I am here with you as well. Don't be afraid to post I think this would be a good avenue for you to be able to come and learn from others so you can fill those big shoes and finally walk in them steady and sturdy with the skills of an overcomer in Christ Jesus. Blessings to you sister Hannah

Great illustration...Isn't it amazing how God shows us spiritual lessons in life if we meditate on Him and "practice the presence" of God.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
