Dear Diary,

Today was the best day ever. Of course now that I live in New Jerusalem everyday is the best. But today was very extra special. You see when I woke up this morning there was a knock on the door. I rushed down the stairs of my beautiful mansion to see who it was . When I opened the door my face lit up with the biggest smile. It was Jesus! I said "Lord what brings you here to my home". He grabbed my hand and said "Come on we are going to breakfast". " Just you and me", I said. Yes it was just us. We walked down Main Street with its beautiful golden roads and sidewalks made of alabaster.

We went to the nicest little cafe, where we sat eating the most delious breadfast. People walked past and would smile and wave. No one tried to interupt because they all knew they would get their turn. Jesus always made time for everyone.

After breakfast, we went for a long walk where He told me how He had created the rose.

Oh dear someone else is knocking on my door, I'll write more later.

Abbershay: I do understand what you are trying to say. However, the word "imagination" is not in a Christian's vocabulary. Let me explain because I don't believe you meant it like this.

When I was in WOF, a preacher started having us to use our imagination. We were to fill an imaginary sack with all of our worries and throw them over our shoulder and give them to Jesus without prayer. Now that is not the way to give our problems to Jesus. We are to go to Jesus in prayer and give or tell Him our problems. 'That is where some vain imaginations come in. This teaches us the wrong way to approach Jesus.

I do see myself a thousand years from now, PRAISING JESUS. I won't speculate on what the exact scenario will be in the New Jerusalem. There are many different beliefs about what will be happening during that time of real life in Jesus. Will we be having feasts before the Lord, what work will we be doing? There are many other speculations. In love, I say that I think this is going a little far. We do not use our imagination for such things.

You might could have worded this in a different way and it might have been accepted. In this light, I have to agree with God-man about vain imaginations. I caught that word "imagination" the minute I started reading your post and it put a red flag up for me.

This kind of thing also assumes certain things from Scripture, which I am convinced are nothing more than Christian myth built upon misconceptions from Scripture (John 14:2 & Rev. 21 respectively) taught over the past 2,000 years of church history. This namely being those teachings which promote the Christian "heaven" as being a literal city with streets paved with gold, and each believer inheriting a mansion built especially for them with the Lords own two hands, etc.

There is an article in a theological journal called "Affirmation and Critique" which fairly addresses the subject of "the Leaven of Heaven." It's a bit highbrow-ish, since it's designed to appeal to the more scholarly theologins among us. But if you can get your brain around the article, I highly recommend you download it and read it at your leasure. Here's the link: http://www.affcrit.com/archives/ac_00_02.html

Begin with the article titled, "Purge out the Old Leaven"

Here I go again. I meant that I agree with Dad Ernie on the imagination bit.

God-man, I thought why read something that I am not smart enough to understand to begin with. I am not a theologian, scholarly or otherwise. I was actually shocked when I read the article and knew exactly what it was saying. I didn't read all of the articles just the one you recommended. Therefore, it must be considered low-browish or no brow atol.

There are a lot of artciles to read at that site. I will have to read them all before I comment on them.

:music: I can only imagine what it will be like

When I walk by Your side

I can only imagine what my eyes will see

When Your face is before me

I can only imagine

Surrounded by Yur glory

What will my heart feel?

Will I dance before You, Jesus

Or in awe of You be still...

(Sorry, couldn't resist! :x: )

I didn't mean to imply that no one was intellegent enough to read or understand the articles, only that they were written with intellectual types in mind. And, again, not that you are not an intellectual; the articles just have a tendancy to be a bit dry.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
