Impact

Today, I was considering how many little actions we do each day may be seem to be insignificant but you never know how much of an impact you will make in someone's life. I'm not saying that I have always done the best in every situation because I know I haven't, although I try to. I'm human so I'm going to faulter but I try to follow our Father's example and do as He would have me do.

But I stress the importance of what you might think is a little action may not be. I met my sister-in-Christ, my best friend, over the internet. She IMed and I debated answering her but decided what could be lost. Now, almost four years later, I realize what MIGHT have been lost by a simple action: she taught me about God and led me through the Sinner's Prayer. My opening my heart and ear to her, kept her from suicide. Now, I'm happy to say that she isn't afraid to have pride in herself and even has a fiance. We continue to grow in God's word together and while a lot of people don't understand our closeness, I know the Lord has truly blessed us with something special.

I close with some words my sister told me the other day: I wouldn't be who I am today if I hadn't gone through all those hard times. I was so close to giving up so many times but the Lord told me 'Hold on' and that 'everything would be alright.' So I did.

Little things do count. In fact, at times the little things can help much more than the big things; and on top of the all the little things add up to one big thng! It's God's calling for us to sow the seeds, or water the seeds, or whatever our job is. Each of us does a small part that helps. One person may bring up Jesus to an unbeleiver and it won't do something right away, but later someone else waters that seed and it begins to grow. We are all part of a body in Christ, and each little job we do helps to keep it healthy; each is just as important, though all some may be bigger than others.

It is good to remember this, I'm glad to see you have it on your mind
