Newly elected leader of the U.S. Episcopal Church Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori said on Monday she believed homosexuality was no sin and homosexuals were created by God to love people of the same gender.

Mainline denominations are obsessed with this. I heard it was because most gay males are wealthy, so to accept that lifestyle is to encourage them to attend your church (I cannot imagine why they would want to) and give to your church. Since members are fleeing Anglican, Methodist and liberal Presbyterian churches like rats off a sinking ship, I guess the church leaders have to look elsewhere for cash.

i am attempting to do this from memory, which is often a mistake, but, isn't the episcopal church the one in which a female pastor, gave a message a few days ago in which, mother Jesus was her title or subject, and that has ordained gays into the pulpit and now saying it isn't a sin. i guess they would have to take that attitude or they would have to admit their church was apostate, since they were ordaining persons that according to the bible are living a life of abomination to the Lord. it would seem the episcopal church, now officially would rather be man pleasers and could care less for what God said in his scriptures. that would also mean they are embracing the belief that the bible is not the inerrant word of God, or that God was wrong in what he stated in his scriptures. i don't understand how they can't see they are in apostasy.

I once heard a homosexual say that they were going to take all the passages out of scripture that said anythng negitive about the lifestyle. They also said that bascially they were going to rewrite the bible to suite them. Soundls like that church is already doing that.
