I once heard a preacher speak on 'our faith' and asked the question "How many of you can speak to a mountain and have the faith that will cast it into the sea?".....I don't!

I know I have faith and that Jesus provides us with the faith we need.... but sometimes I wonder if it is actually "Enough" Anyone else? :)

A good thing to remember is Gods timing is not always easy to accept. We want our troubles gone, so we pray for the Lord to take them away, He doesn't always do that, but He always shows us a way through them.

I'm not fond of hearing if you still have problems then you must not have enough faith. Thats just not true...we must always remember that sometimes God will actually tell us no...we are His children and He knows whats best.

Love and Blessings,

Angel

I heard a man who studied saying and he said that it was not the size of the seed that matters.

The mustard seed that will grow anywhere in all conditions.

We as Christians are to grow where we are planted.

I believe that if God spoke to me and said to me "speak to the mountain and move it over there.."

that I would indeed have the faith to do it....

I do not think God just speaks for nothing..there will be a purpose in His words...

If God gives us something to do He gives us what we need to do it ..

whether or not we do what He says is up to us though....

if I do not believe God, then He will teach me to believe...I am His child, I will learn...

2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2Pe 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

2Pe 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

2Pe 1:7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

2Pe 1:8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrew 11:6 "And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him."

Romans 10:17 "So faith comes from hearing and hearing the word of Christ."

Hi treasured, we must remember that as christians we don't just exercise faith... You can exercise as much faith as you can, but if you do not understand and know the object of your faith, it comes to nothing. We as children of God needs to know why Jesus is the object of our faith. Just like when you get to know a new friend, you can't simply trust the person fully until you get along and know this person for a certain period of time. You need to put in time and effort to get to know this friend so that you will know and be closer to him/her. Like wise with God. The initial step of our conversion, we take the little faith we have to trust in HIM. However, we are yet to discover more about HIM and His truth, whether it holds water. So we need time to get to know HIM. And how do we know HIM? by talking to HIM and by reading His word (refer Roman 10:17). Our faith increases not just simply on the basis of blind faith. It increases because we read about HIM and then we put to exercise what we have read and believed. And as we do so, we exercise our faith in HIM (Hebrew 11:6). It's just like exercising our muscle. The more we exercise, the more it grows. Therefore, it is not so much of how much faith you have persay, but who you place you faith in. In this case, it is God whom you placed your faith in. No matter how small your faith is, it does not change His answer to Your prayers. But you need to seek HIM first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). God is not a vending machine. He doesnt' say "Yes" to all our prayers. However, that does not mean He is not answering or that we do not have enough faith. We need to discern the will of God in everything we ask. I pray that God will give you more insights to His word as you seek HIM with all your heart. He will grant you the desire of your heart.

Lord I lift up treasured to you. Please open her/his eyes to see You. Help her/him to understand your truth more and more each day. In Jesus name i pray, amen

 Thanks Lydia!

The thing I gusess that has had me thinking about that message was that the preacher said that Jesus was speaking to his desciples and told them "whoever has the faith the size of a mustardseed will say ...." His desciples never had enough faith in that event.

I HAVE faith is Jesus. I have a close personal relationship with Him. I have seen and EXPERIANCED His power (I was healed of lupus in 2000). I don't doubt Him! I just have a time getting my mind around "If" you had the faith the size of a mustardseed you would speak to that mountain and "it WOULD be cast into the sea"....

If faith is a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8), and if God has given us each a measure (Romans 12:3), then who is to blame if we don't have enough? And who is qualified to determine what is "enough"?

Jesus told us to deny ourselves. our wants, wishes and desires dont really come into play. this is true faith - to believe God that the toughts of man are evil continuously. a person interjecting their will is most certainly going to go against God. if one uses their faith to deny themselves and trust God, then that measure of faith will grow so that nothing is impossible for them.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
