Get a generator?

With the seeming increased likely hood of power outages, 58 million in Italy this week, hurricane Isabel etc. I am asking my self if it isn

I have been thinking about getting a generator and a water well. The Bible does say take no thought of tomorrow but God also gave us a brain to do what is best in our situation. I live in the country and the electricity goes out all the time. The water lines also break frequently.

Three times in ten verses Jesus said

WEll, when we were out for five days from Isabel, our gas worked fine. OUr heater apparently doesn't run on electric. So we still had hot water and stove usage! Just no lights.

That's good to know. A fairly small generator will run the furnace and a few lights (and a lap top, if I had one), but it won't do much in the way of a space heater.

I have had this thought on my heart as well. Now I am getting a generator. I know the Lord will provide.

I also have had and do now continue to have the feeling that the Lord is confounding mans wisdom. He is reaching out to the lost and saying see all you have faith in will come to naught. It can all go away in the blink of an eye.

He is saying I am eternal. Place your Faith in ME. I will provide. Even when your generator dies out.

What will your gold buy you when all else fails? I will buy your soul. I will protect your blessings which I have given you. Entrust them to Me!

He provided for Daniel, He provided for Israel in the desert, He even provided for Israel at Jericho, then they honored Him and said we will have none of the spoil. For they knew any dirty little thing they held onto would cause judgement. They turned it all over to the Lord. He provided also for Noah and Elijah the last prophet of G-d in Israel.

Buy the generator just don't hold onto that dirty little thing. Turn it all over to the Lord. Store up your riches where the moth and the rust and the flame can't get to them. Be prepared yet don't put your faith in something powered by gasoline.

Right! The same is true even if you convert it to propane.

I was speaking to a sales person today and she said her father had bought the largest one in stock. He ordered a conversion kit from the manufacturer that allowed it to run on propane instead of gas. This makes a lot sense, for someone who is really serious about it, because most of them will only run a few hours on the with fuel tank that they come with. He also wired it into the house circuit so that any time the power went out it would automatically start. I don
