I didn't say God sinned. However god also can do whatever he wants. Including sin. That is, he can murder his creation, but you can't. If you destroyed a human being, you committed murder. If God did so, he loves.

God is ABOVE all things. He is incapable of SIN. Everything HE does is underlined with LOVE, because that is what God is.

Exactly what I said

Not exactly, but we won't go there. We can read...

Whoever said that old fashioned was bad? Someday someone will want to marry a goat and have the legal right to have intercourse with it. Some will say, "Why not? It's his right to love animals." Others will be happy that they are "old fashioned."

You and your overstated approach my lady friend. Get off the goat! Old fashion isn't useful now a days. Look at middle east for examples. Way behind the times. Women tire of beatings. Why waste healthy minds for submissions?

Whose old fashioned?

I'm a man, baby.

Hey, you know, it's trendy to be gay nowdays.

Wouldn't want to be too "old fashioned."

After all, family, faith, neighborly service, community, long term friendships, all of those are "old fashioned" to. We just have any use for those things today. We have the internet to keep us company! A family can be anything: A man and a woman, two women, two men, two women and one man, a man and a child, a man and a goat. Neighbors are just the people next door. We don't have to be nice to them. We don't even have to talk to them. We don't need to create community, I'm fine all by myself. I keep to myself and I don't "bother" anybody. And neither should anyone bother me.

I understand. In todays standard it would be bad situation. However, it is God's word is the point. Therefore you need to abide by His words if your daughter was raped.

you really DONT grasp things well do you? like cultural significance? no, God would not expect my daughter to marry her rapist. in fact, i personally don't think (i'm sure others will disagree) that God expected my daughter to marry the lazy mormon who is unwilling to provide for her and who has abusive tendencies towards her and her son, either. she didn't see it that way though, and i pray that God will intervene quickly before one of them comes to serious harm.

It's called the 'pecking' order. Very simple. You are the weaker gender toward god. no, i'm not. women are not seen as "weaker" in the sense that YOU think. God does not consider us secondary, or in ANY way, inferior to a man.

How the heck can you tell if a girl was a virgin during battle? When they were 12? THEY KILLED EVERYONE! can you at least make a superficial stab at history before you make such idiotic assumptions? first of all, they didn't kill everyone, or there would have been no virginal women left to take as servents. secondly, married women and prostitutes could be identified by their outer appearance... their hair, their clothing, their makeup. try really hard not to get confused here... married women did not display the same outer appearance as a prostitute.

um. God's word here "but woman is the glory of man."

yeah buddy! check ths out... since you don't know the biblical meaning of glory:

with a group of words, translated "glory" in the English Versions of the Bible, and in which the ideas of size, rarity, beauty and adornment are prominent, the emphasis being laid in the first instance in each case upon some external physical characteristic which attracts the attention, and makes the object described by the word significant or prominent.

Ps 89:44, translated "glory" in the King James Version, in the Revised Version (British and American) rendered "brightness"; (yeqara'), an Aramaic root meaning "rare"; (tiph'arah), with the root-meaning of "beauty "; and finally (tsebhi), perhaps on the basis of the Assyrian cabu, meaning "desire," "desirable."

every woman should be so lucky to be the glory of her husband.

Yuck. Out of context. Now I'm trying to get that image out of my mind.

what's out of context? YOU provided the context, saying the biblical perspective on sex is old fashioned. i provided you with the CORRECT biblical context and even gave you information on where to find the very vididly detailed explanation on very beautiful sexual experiences. oh wait... since it's heterosexual that must be why it's "yuck"?

and last but not least, regarding the judgement that women should have labor pains and that they aren't THAT bad, you replied

Whatever emot-pinochio.gif

oh, come on, is that the best you can come up with? :21:

I'm a man

Sorry. Been battling girls all day.

That certainly can discombobulate a guy.

LOL, surely you jest. a non-believer closer to God. furthermore, you're not my husband. thank God! (no pun intended!)

we are told to submit to our husbands.... as unto the Lord. in other words, we are not to submit to our husbands in the event that our husband is expecting us to be disobedient to God. the command is in context to the christian marriage. hopefully a christian husband is not going to try and get us to go against God, and if he does, all bets are off in regards to THAT issue... and even if our husband is not a christian.

if a husband and wife cannot agree on something, we should defer to our husbands as long as it doesn't dishonour God. now i'm sure homosexuals have a hard time figuring out who should wear the pants, but a relationship will not survive (even a homosexual one) if someone doesn't give in at an impasse.

there is an old saying.... the man is the head of the house... but the wife is the neck that turns the head.

a cursory review of the bible and its examples of marital couples will make it clear to you just how true, and how biblical, that old cliche is.

I believe I am right, LadyC. Since I am closer to God, wouldn't that make me closer to the truth and you need to obey me?

Closer than who?

For man was not made from woman, but woman from man. Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.

I am closer.

You got that wrong.

i'm really getting kinda hungry, kinda tired, and kinda bored with this.

would someone please take over here and explain to justaguy what the verse he just quoted is about and who it is directed at and WHY it was written to them? he doesn't know how to use context, only how to pick out certain verses that he thinks will win his case.

justaguy, forgive me if i'm confusing you with someone else, but did you not say earlier that you are bi-sexual?

if that was someone else, i sincerely apologize.

but you have no authority over me and can't "forbid" me anything.

No need to help me out folks. I'm doing quite fine here holding my own. Definitely not bi sexual. All strait. Sorry about that.

And as far as my argument over women. It was a gag. thanks for entertaining me. But it was an important point. Bible is out of date in todays world so you cant state you are following God's word. If you truly followed god's word, word to word, then yes, I have that power over you. not saying I do mind you. Just that...I do.

Go to bed, just---sleep it off, man...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
