Why did we (USA and Britain) invade Iraq then. Even at the time those behind it seemed a little confused.

Was it for those mythical weapons of mass destruction?

Was it to defeat Al Qaida, who had no presence in pre-war Iraq, but are now their in force?

Was it to remove a murderous tyrant, with whom Rumsfeld and others had happily done business with, when he was at the peak of his killing spree?

Was it to improve the lives of Iraqi people, who are now being killed in greater numbers than before the war?

Even the cheap oil argument doesn't work as oil prices have gone through the roof.

You proclaim your support for this foolhardy chaotic and bloody venture Marnie, why don't you explain why it was launched at what great things it has actually achieved?

Once again, I find it necessary to do your work for you.

Here, and here, and here, and here.

But don't you worry about a thing; you just fix your poneytail, put on some zitar tunes, take your Birks off and enjoy the freedom our soldiers have secured for you. But I wouldn't light up that joint...it destroys brain cells. Obviously.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

Sen. Lieberman Unfairly Attacked With Anti-Semitic Slurs

Wednesday, August 09, 2006

By Bill O'Reilly

The anti-Semitic stuff directed at Joe Lieberman is the subject of this evening's "Talking Points Memo."

As you may know, some radical left Americans have been vilifying Lieberman for his support of the Iraq war. The usual suspects on the Net have smeared the man. And now Lieberman's campaign is accusing radical bloggers of hacking into their Web site and damaging it.

But far worse are the anti-Semitic rants. This was posted on the far left Daily Kos Web site: "As everybody knows, Jews ONLY care about the welfare of other Jews. We might better ignore all that Jewish propaganda about participating in the civil rights movement."

And this was allowed on the Huffington blog: "Leiberman [sic] cannot escape the religious bond he represents. Hell, his wife's name is Haggadah or Muffeletta or Diaspora or something you eat at Passover."

Nice. But the media has generally ignored the far-left hatred directed towards the senator and his family. I wonder how Mel Gibson feels about that.

Writing today in The Wall Street Journal, former counsel to President Clinton, Lanny Davis says: "I came to believe that we liberals couldn't possibly be so intolerant and hateful, because our ideology was famous for ACLU-type commitments to free speech, dissent and, especially, tolerance for those who differed with us. Now in the closing days of the Lieberman primary campaign, I have reluctantly concluded that I was wrong."

Now in the closing days of the Lieberman primary campaign, I have reluctantly concluded that I was wrong."

Well, Lanny Davis has learned what Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen learned, what Hillary Clinton has experienced, and what those of us who see things clearly have known for years. The far left in America is dominated by haters, people who despise their own country and want to injure those with whom they disagree.

The smear merchants are now all over the mainstream media and have spread like lice on the Net. They are truly misguided and in some cases emotionally disturbed human beings.

So how do you combat them? Exposition is the best way. My upcoming book "Culture Warrior" does that. It documents who these people are and what they're doing behind the scenes.

Secondly, condemn their behavior as Lanny Davis did today. This isn't satire or a free speech exercise. This is speech meant to injure, to defame, to demean.

As I wrote in my newspaper column a few months ago, Joseph Lieberman is a good man. He's honest, loves his country and obeys his conscience. You may disagree with his politics, but he's a man of respect.

You can't say that for those who have smeared and slurred him. There's no place for their tactics in a country as great as America.

And that's "The Memo."

The left can bash any race so long as it fits their agenda....and then they are free from any sort of reprise.

Such as Cynthia McKinney, who's campaign manager said it was "The Israelis....the Zionists that caused us to lose the primary." And then said about three or four other anti-Jew statements.

Did the media filet her like they did Mel? Of course not....it was a side mention.

How McKinney got elected in the first place is interesting to me..to say the least..

but more interesting is the 40% of the votes that went to her this election..

its not like people are ignorant of what she stands for... :emot-dance:

that is scary...there are still 40% of the voters who wanted her in office..

The reason she got off for her comments is because she is "out" of the public eye now....

out of sight out of mind...

Mel is still very much "in" the public eye...and He is a Christian so that makes him "game"...

And again about Lamont...I still wonder if the folks who voted for him would change their minds in light of last nights situation with the terrorists..??

I want someone in office who would want to protect me ...

Yes very amusing, pity that even the American General , John Abizaid,in charge doesn't share your rose (or should that be fox) tinted view of the situation. He thinks that the country is on the verge of civil war, others think its already in the midst of one.

Bush's policies caused Hitler to rise to power in Germany....and Germany only invaded Poland because of Bush's policy.

Bush also caused the United States Civil War.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
