GWB just is a terrible communicator and has done a pedestrian job of "selling" this war to the people.

If one has to "sell a war to the people," maybe whether the war needs to be fought as it is should come into question.

It likely has more to do with an uninformed public more concerned about their comfort than with national security. I mean, let's face it, most Americans don't vote, most don't know who their State Rep's are and sadly most couldn't tell you where Iraq is with a map in front of them, or Canada for that matter. But, they know what time American Idol is on TV though!

Good. Now the government agencies can develop a standard warrant applications where they just fill in the phone number so they can abide by the constitution.

I would rather be dead than live in a country where the government can delve into my private business if they chose. My father fought in WWII to free Europe, not for his descendants to live in the type of society the Nazi's had.

Oh and when we lived in California, someone got put calls to cartagena columbia on our phone bill. I'm assuming they also hijacked the phone. If this had been a few yrs later, We would have had our phone tapped because of it. Things happen and now that we have cell phones it's even easier to hack
