Whats your definition of the "Nephilim"

whats your definition of the Nephilim, what or who are they and do you think they they still exist today. I heard it briefly mentioned on a Christian radio broadcast, I have asked some friends of mine and they dont know. much appreciated if anyone can give me clarification as to what they are.

Weren't they the giants spawned by union between the "sons of God" and women? Weren't they wiped out by the Noahic flood?

Basically there are four main groups of giants: Nephilim, Anakim, Emim and Rephaim. Part three tells all the references to the giants in the bible. Hope this is useful to anyone.

The sons of God saw Him lay the foundations of the earth, somewhat prior to the creation of man. They are angels, both holy and fallen.

Having said that, some people say that between the KJV and the NIV, four types of angels are named: cherubim, seraphim, anakim, and nephilim. Allegedly, the anakim produced the sons of Anak, of whom were Goliath and his brothers. But I have one eyebrow raised at this point.
