"Divine mumbo-jumbo" forever indeed! Re charismatic-Pentecostal "mumbo-jumbo" since 1902 at Azusa Street: Uninterrupted by biblical logic (the word "unknown" appears nowhere in the Greek!), Uninterrupted by prime & clear-cut example (as in Acts 2:8-11) and attempting to limit the Sovereign God, the Master Linguist, to childrens' unintelligible and inane sputterings, one can never know too little of what is not worth knowing at all.

I believe that Jesus has all the answers here :emot-pray: I also believe that being the fact that we are in the time of judgment.

1 Peter 4:17-19

17 For the time is come that judgment MUST begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

We are being sifted! There is going to be a falling away and if we choose to stay in a place of wrong teaching we will suffer the consequences, if we leave we will also recieve the consequences of that choice  Either way we have choices to make and therefore the consequences of those choices, Amen?

OK, this is not making much sense to me - I mean, why you would type this into your message?

You seem to be implying (by equality) that the consequenses of choosing heresy and choosing God's word are the same or you are just using bandwidth for no purpose as "We cannot choose not to choose" so of course there are consequesnces.

You had to have some reason for writing this; could you expand to show what was behind your thinking when you wrote what you did?

Without Naming names you only have to watch the God channel on a daily basis to to see the success of the movement today. One famous tv evangelist with a worldwide following made the outrageous statement that in a one to one conversation with God, the Lord told him that he (the evangelist) could have atoned for the sin of the world.

God help us to see the (LR) and (MSG) movement for what it is (Heresy) and combat it before it's to late.

<-------------------------------------------------------------------------------->

I agree with you but what I find more appalling is that these same people will be recommended as worhty teachers from pulpits that should be standing in truth.

Finding a church without WOF (creeping in at least), ordained women, or Manifestations of some spirit is not an easy task anymore.

A ministerial friend of mine has said repeatedly that ignorance, arrogance and apathy show the true state of the church today.

Granted, there is to be a great falling away so what do we do in the face of this ignorance, arrogance and apathy? do we fight tooth and nail or just let sleeping dogs head on down to hell as they prefer that way?

What I am implying is we make wrong choices and right choices, therefore wrong choices you will suffer bad consequences and of course right choices you will recieve good consequences. Ultimately it is up to us to believe the word or man. This is where we fall short, because so many "Christians" are living by their flesh and not by the Spirit. When Jesus said it was expedient that he leave so that the Comforter may come. This was not just to give us the warm fuzzies, this was for our good to be led by Him and to recieve our gifts by Him, "ALL THE GIFTS". We cannot hear from God without HIM nor can we make right decisions without Him nor discern properly without Him. So without Him and we still try do decide what is right and wrong we will probably be wrong most of the time. We must not judge without the discernment of the Holy Spirit or we will be judged ourselves. To say that it is wrong to think there is something new going on may not be wrong, it may not be new to God, but it may be new to us. God gives fresh revelation everyday to His church through the Holy Spirit and to discount all things that seem new is very dangerous ground I think. We must go to God first before we say all this "stuff" is wrong.

ok I have been trying to figure out all of this and it is definitely making lots of questions pop in my head. what is the definition of heresies ( not the catholic version, I read that ) second shouldn't we do as the Bible tells us that we have to seek out our own salvation with fear and trembling? that no one but Jseus can get us in heaven? I also know that there will be wolves in sheep's clothing trying to decieve the sheep, that is also in the Bible (MOV). what is things to look out for that was talked about in the first thread? it was too vague for me to understand i felt like I was trying to read their mind on what has them upset? maybe I'm not as far in my walk with Jesus as some of you or not as knowledgable. just trying to understand

Where in the Bible am I told that God gives fresh revelation everyday? He may speak to His people on a daily basis but the way He has chosen to reveal himself to mankind during this dispensation is through His word. That is why he has magnified his word above his name Psalm 38:2. and the reason that all things will pass away but His word. He will never give Revelation that contradicts His word. Therefore if someone is preaching something contrary to His word that should ring alarm bells in Christians minds.

I have spent 20 years of my Christian life as the director of a counter-cult organisation teaching Christians how to share their faith with those involved with the cults and the occult. In that time I have found certain distinguishing marks that all the cults have in commom. (1) In the cults it is always the Bible Plus their own teachings. (which contain new revelation). (2) In the cults there is always presumptous Messianic Leadership. That is why when I hear a well known christian TV evangelist say when you look at me you are not seeing me you are seeing Jesus. I worry, If it's new it isn't true and if it's true it isn't new.

The Church needs to get back to the old old story which was good enough for our fathers.

Sorry for not being more clear, I did mean fresh revelation of His word. In His word Jesus told us he was sending our Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, correct? Also His word states that He is our Counseler our Revelator. He is the One that reveals to us truth of His Word, correct? This is where I am coming from. Sorry for not being more clear :emot-hug:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
